If you really really wanted something would you spend the money on it?

Hi oneandone...I see nothing wrong with making this purchase...It is sad that the one you had from your childhood is gone...

As long as my bills were paid and I have food in the house then I would make a purchase like this if I really felt I needed it..

I would*so* do this, Mooch! I think it's wonderful and I really hope that it's the right rabbit! Nostalgia is often what gives us the peace in our life that is many times missing.

I would think of all the times looking at that rabbit will comfort you and make you smile when life is a bit much to bear.

I have found some things on eBay from my childhood and it's always such a joy to be touching/holding those things again. I think we all need to pamper that inner child sometimes. In fact, I think I'll start a topic on that in a second... there are some things I want to say about it and I've been thinking about doing that for a while now.

i don't think its weird thing to buy it dear friend. so far i am just like you. i just bought barbie doll for me from my online earning. just called me stupid, but when i was child, i have no any dolls and barbie doll being my wish to fulfil

my husband said that i am little bit crazy to spend money just buy those dolls but later on he understand how is my feeling and how i want to have it

I think we should all treat ourselves once in awhile

I personally wouldnt spend that much on a stuffed animal but I understand why you would
I am saving up to treat myself
I feel that after the last few months that I have had once this move is done and we are settled into the new place I will deserve a treat

You should be able to buy what you want with your money, but as a wife and mother you know that is not always the case.

Being a Buddhist I see you are clinging and forming unnecessary attachments to physical objects that are totally unnecessary. Think of all the things you just had to have in your lifetime. Are they still bringing you joy and happiness? I think you should take some of the money and spend it out on a wonderful evening with your husband and put the rest in an IRA for security in the future with your hunny. Because that is what life is about-time spent with family and freinds, not acquiring unnecessary and trivial objects.

Yes, I would buy something like that if I really, really wanted it. I would buy my BF something like that if he really, really wanted it too. I know there are more important things that we all need in life but there are times when you have to give yourself a present that is just for YOU. Seeing as you have earnt this money it is up to you how you spend it. I don't think you are mad to do this. This stuffed animal brought you years of joy and happiness and if you can have another one that will do the same, then go ahead and get it. Life is far too short to worry about spending this amount of money. Happiness is far more important, I'm glad your hubby understands too.

If it meant a lot too me to have it then yes I would!! You have worked for the money on here and so if you want a treat then you should have a treat. I will not tell you that you are insane as I do not think that you are, but if you get the one that you want then you will have to show it too me!

Once you get the rabbit, what will you do with him? Are you going to put him back on your bed? Will you put him up on a shelf on display? Is he as clean as yours was? Does it smell like yours did? What memories will it bring back for you?
Are there any hidden imperfections on this one. What I am trying to get at, once you have gotten what you want, will really you be satisfied with it? Ninety dollars is a lot of money to pay for a stuffed animal. It does not sound like you will have an open return policy. I just want you to make sure that you are getting what you long for before you pay so much money.
Maybe the picture will be enough. They say, "We have to look back, to know where to go." I say, "You won't see what is in front of you if you are looking back." If the memory that you have and long to recapture can be found in this stuff animal, then by all means, satify it. I am just afraid that once you have what your heart desires, it may disappoint you.

Whenever i want something bad, i won't stop until I get it. I will not spend my money intended for house expenses on that. I will try to earn more from other sources ans sideines and when i have all the full amount, i will buy it with or without consent from my fmily.
