The Banquet  

Hmmm...getting free food but to be forced to sit next to a bunch of cracked out superficial women who have had abortions but want to preach their love of God to me while I dine.....that's a tough call.

I think for the safety of those around me it would be best if I pass on the invite. Everyone knows I can't keep my mouth shut online, can you imagine what I would be like in person? lol

Yes I will attend. This week I will be seated with H1B holders who in fact add no real value to the US economy and have no real skills that US Citizens don't have. Most of them will be Indians. It isn't that I don't know their culture or particularly dislike them, I just have issues with the H1B process this week.

On my other side I will be seated with Fundamental Right Wing Narrow Minded Christian Republicans.

I suggest all the outspoken/opinonated people get together instead..yep i will even get on a plane for it too.

No, I would not attend. In this day and age it would be a too tempting target for terrorists. Why take the chance just to spend the evening with people I don't like?

First it would take an act of both the God and the Goddess to get me to go to this banquet! LOL

BUT if I did end up going I would be seated next to some doozies
people like Reverand Phelps, osama Bin Laden, the lawyer that got OJ cleared, my husband's first wife and Gorge W Bush

To be honest I pretty much get along with everyone regardless of their beliefs, but of course there are some that do rattle me no end despite my diplomatic tendencies. If I were to attend such a banquet being a Pagan/Wiccan, very liberal and outspoken, probably the complete opposite would be to sit me next to a bunch of Conservative, fundamentalist Christians who would want to save my soul all night...LOL

I am not sure who would be sitting beside me. Could be a fascist, racist, misogynist, so many things. Oh.. and they would have no vocabulary at all, every other word would start with F.

But Im only coming if they have bread and butter.

In ancient times, it was customary to prepare a feast for one's enemies, and then to slay them them the next day. Yes, there would be a time that all could be equal, all could enjoy the congeniality of fellow warriors, and then the next day the trial would begin. If another declares himself/herself to be for the destruction of my family, my country, and my way of life, then they are going to face the natural consequence of destruction of themselves. But could I be seated next to them at a dinner table full of good things to eat? Of course, and of course we would dine in laughter and song, but tomorrow - afterwards - he or I would die on the battlefield that is this life.

I'm not quite sure who my type of people are. I guess the opposite of me is conservative, closed minded, discriminatory, and bigoted.

Sure, I can be nice to anyone. As a matter of fact, it's fun to kill the beasts with kindness. They never know how to react and it's fun to watch them squirm.

and i am sure will all details u r describing who will have time to see who is sitting next. but may be i end up sitting next to u on one side as i am Muslim too and u want to sit with them, on other side it can be any one
