What do you prefer - the Book or the Movie

its really better to read the book for a certain story...
it can't be denied that the BOOK is more preferably the most preferred references of having acquired wild ideas from the wild thinkers of each writers/ authors..##

Well i really prefer movie than books...It's so tiresome to read books...

The book is almost always better than the movie. I think there are two reasons (at least) for this. One is that the book normally has more details. A novel containing a lot of intricate details such as 'Jurassic Park' or 'Da Vinci Code' is going to lose something when it gets put into movie form because of the time constraint.

The second reason is imagination. When I read a book, I have clear pictures in mind of each character, the scenery, everything. The movie version never matches the images in my head.

If given a choice of a book or a film, I would almost inevitably choose the book.

I prefer the Movie a little.Just think,in a movie,you could see the really scene,it includes the live style and language and mamy many other things,all of it you can see,it's very vivid.If you read a book,you must pay more attention to think about the dramatis personae,you have to analyse their behaviour and mentality.But this just be the pleasure of reading,somebody says.

my opinion to this is that, it is really better to read the book than watch the movie. why? mainly because, in the book, it is very detailed, nothing has been cut, nothing has been changed. the content is really there, it is fresh and very raw. no manipulations or alterations that have been made. not like the movie where some chapters of the book are being cut or sometimes being edited. therefore, i still prefer reading the book because it helps us understand more of what the story is all about and your brain can really function well, especially in dealing with the imagination.

Ok, since I have not much time to read any books lately I rather see a movie to relax. But for 10 years ago, I did a lot of reading. And my favorite book is a series of the author of the cave bears and Ayla. I have those books in my book shelf and can sometimes read them again. They actually did a movie about them and sometimes I do put that movie on to. I guess the movie did not get a lot of response because they did not make more movies. It is a story of five books, but they did only one movie....I wish they would have done all of them.

i think when we reading book, we will get more complete story than see the movie with the same title.

I prefer movie. I don't have much time reading.

I prefer the Book, not only because it's the original but also sometimes when they make it into a movie they tend to change something that's not within the book. Sometimes they delete or add a part or a character that you will not find in the book. Also in the book, i sometimes try to imagine that i'm the lead person. I can use my imagination.
