Demonstrators Arrested and Released : Sean Bell Shooting is Hotting Up   

I dont really think its that because I think that one or two of the officers were black also, I thonk mostly its a case of the police being able to do whatever the heck they want to do and no one does anything about it as usual.

In a way you are correct, outbacken, part of this situation was due to fear of the color of their skin, fear that they were gang members and the problem of gun violence and fully automatic weapons in New York.

These officers approached Sean and his friends while they were having an argument with a Pimp over the cost of a hooker outside of a strip club. This was not a nice neighborhood and someone in Sean's group mentioned something about shooting the pimp as they headed for their vehicle. That is why the officers got involved in the first place. I don't recall exactly who in the group did what but the officers reacted to what they perceived to be someone reaching for or drawing a weapon.

I'm sure you're not familiar with the Reverand Al Sharpton but he makes his living on the promotion of racial prejudice and hatred. Anytime anything happens to any black person that he can use to get his face in front of a camera, he's there. He does not care about these people, he wants a piece of the pie if there's the slightest chance that there could be a civil suit, book deal or television appearance. These officers were found not guilty in a court of law and, because the people involved do not agree with the verdict, it must be wrong. What would you be saying if these officers had been found guilty and their families were marching in the streets and demanding justice? Would you believe them?
