Do you pluck your eyebrows or thread it? |
|
I go to a facial spa to shape my eyebrows. They use the threading technique which removes the hairs from the roots. New growth of hairs only begin appearing after about 2 weeks. If you like to learn more about eyebrow threading you can visit http://skin-care-tips.org...

1. tiffiny (734) | 6 months ago | Wow I have never heard about threading your eye brows. Thanks for the link and educatting me!! I love it. Usually I go and get them waxed and then try to keep up with plucking them at home. But normally that stops after about a week. Ha ha

serendib (886) | 6 months ago | You're most welcome. Even I had no idea about eyebrow threading until I came back to Sri Lanka. You must never use wax on eyebrows or to remove unwanted hair on any part of the face because it stretches and pulls the skin.

2. MGjhaud (3526) | 6 months ago | I never tried threading though I would like to try. I know it's something painful but maybe it's better than plucking then. I only pluck mine ever since. I saw women who go to parlors just to get eyebrow threading. I guess most parlors/salons here are using the threading method.

serendib (886) | 6 months ago | It is painful but once you get used to it, it's not that bad. Yes it is better than plucking because it takes a couple of weeks before hair grows back again. I thread my eyebrows once a month. It's difficult to do threading on your own. You have to go to the salon to get it done. Thanks for your reply.

5. yanna1027 (172) | 5 months ago | The first time I actually tried threading my eyebrows was when I was vacationing in the Philippines. The procedure was so new to me and I was scared at first. It's a little painful but it's not too bad compared to plucking or waxing. I noticed that the re-growth of hair took awhile, like 2 weeks and I really like this method. Unfortunately, I didn't see this done here in my local salons, so I am back to waxing if I want my eyebrows done. Hope threading will be common here someday.

serendib (886) | 5 months ago | Threading is the best because like you mentioned the it takes awhile for the hair to grow back. Threading should be another alternative to plucking and waxing done in beauty salons in Western countries. Thank you for your response.

fafinette79 (524) | 4 months ago | I'm too afraid to do my own eyebrows, so I go to a salon to get them done. They wax then pluck the stray hairs. In the town I'm in it costs about $7. I do my own nails though.

8. paisleylass (290) | 3 months ago | I have heard of threading and seen it done at malls. I have myown wax machine and do it at home. I wouldnt mind learing how to do the threading, it seems less messy. The waxing can get a bit sticky.
