Do You Use Tarot Or Oracle Cards?

I don't usually do reading for people I don't know lol. I know my friends well enough to know they'll be honest with what I give them. However, I am willing to give it a try for you I do like to try and help people where I can.

I totally understand your reaction Goodie. A lot of people have the same reaction when I tell them I read Oracle cards. Another common reaction is for them to give me a blank stare and then ask me what Oracle cards are lol. I don't read tarot Cards though. Oracle cards I find are much easier for me to read and I'm more comfortable with them.

I do find with Oracle cards also that they don't give messages that make people worry about things as such. They do give good advice, but of course, it's always up to the person having the reading to take or leave whatever messages the Angels give. I'm just the messenger between the realms is all, and people are free to interpret the messages however they think they best fit

Thanks for responding. I think it's a subject where you either have an interest in it or you don't. A lot of people I know are fascinated by the subject but would never try it for themselves.

As I said in a comment above, I will not read my partners Tarot cards, I don't like the energy they give off lol. Being used by my partner, they've absorbed a lot of his energy and it is strong. In saying that, it's dead simple to learn how to read them, and I have had some success with them.

I too, have a friend that reads runes, and I have NO clue how she interprets those things lol. To me, they're just stones with little lines and stuff on them

I got familiar with the cards a couple of years back when I first discovered Spirituality. I was fascinated by the whole idea of being able to receive guidance from the realms beyond our own and I began reading everything I could get my hands on. Having 4 sets of cards that all give different messages can be confusing, but I tend to work with my favourite set more than the others.

The next step for me, instead of just interpreting the messages the cards give me, is to actually learn how to channel my Angels so that I can audibly hear them. I think it's going to be a fascinating journey

I have the "Messages From Your Angels" set by Doreen Virtue. Those are my favourites, but I also have a "Ask Your Guides" set by Sonia Choquette. Those are pretty good too. I'm just more comfortable with the angel ones.

I used to do readings with mine three times a week, though granted, I don't have as much available time any more. If friends ask me though, I always try and find the time to fit them in. Doing the actual spread for them isn't so bad. Typing everything out for them after can be a pain though!

LOL true enough...except I dont type it out..I handwrite it which is time consuming...when its a reading for myself though I can do it in very brief pointform just for my records ya know..

There are a lot of frauds out there who will try anything they can to earn a bit of money. My mom went to a "fortuneteller" after she and my father divorced, and this lady got everything wrong. Mom was quite disappointed.

No thanks needed for telling people about these lol. The cards have brought me a lot of comfort when things have been tough, and they've also stated that things will get better. It gives me hope.

I totally agree. I used these cards for a friend not so long back. She had 6 dogs. One of them in particular she was very close to, and then she had to have the dog put to sleep unexpectedly.

Her grief was just incredible. For weeks she couldn't eat, and she was just in tears constantly wondering if her Dog had made the transition to the other side and was doing okay.

Not knowing what else to do, I did a reading for her with the Angel cards. Even I could see that from the results that her Dog had made the transition, and that she was sending a message to say "Hey, mom! I'm fine. Don't worry about me!"

I sent the results to my friend via email, and she got back to me and said "For the first time in weeks, I'm crying tears of happiness! Thank you thank you thank you! The reading was incredible, and just what I needed to hear!"

She is a Christian, and since then she's asked me to do a couple more readings for her. It's a wonderful feeling to know I can help to bring hope and comfort to those who need it.

I love the whole idea of using the Native American cards and Wolf cards. I've actually seen a set of Dolphin cards that I'm drawn to buy (My animal totem is a Dolphin), but that will have to wait till the money situation eases up a little bit.

It's good to hear you have other gifts coming in. I'm on with trying to expand my own gifts to be able to "hear" my angels so that I don't have to use the cards any more, and so hopefully, with practice and time every day, I can develop those gifts more.

I agree that the frauds do go some way towards giving people that use the cards a bad name. I think a lot of people also won't have the cards read because they're scared, and I totally understand that. Fear of something different is a very normal reaction.

I don't class myself as being clever as such being able to read the cards. At the end of the day, I'm just the messenger and it's up to the person having the reading to interpret the information as it may or may not fit their lives. They still have total control, and the free will to say that's right, or thats wrong. They take it or leave it, same as with anything.

Thanks for responding. I respect and understand your decision to not use these cards or have a reading done. I do need to stress that there's nothing dangerous about it. We're not channeling evil spirits or anything like that. We're asking Angels for guidance and advice

I admit to being hopeless at playing cards

Tarot and Oracle cards aren't "fortune telling" cards in the strict sense of the word, though I do know many people who use them as such.

For me personally, my oracle cards are used when I have a question about a particular situation that may be happening at home or in my life in some way. The cards give me guidance and hope that things will turn around.

Hey Angel, not being a smartass here, but can those cards tell you if I'll ever win the lottery?

Not a chance. Because the messages are from the Angels, they'll only give you information that is for your higher good. In other words, they help you with your Divine Life's purpose.
