Terrible!China suffers from earthquake today!

OMG what is happening to this earth, devastation everywhere, I haven't heard anything about this, is it a big one, I do hope it is just a small one....

Well, just a few minutes after I logged in to myLot, my mom called me to know how am I doing. I am presently residing in the North-East of China. We have not experienced any earth trembling today. So, I am very safe to say, Liaoning Province was not affected. I pray for safety for those in the central area.

We here in the States are hearing that the Chinese State run news reports indicate that about 5,000 are dead and about 10,000 are injured but these statistics are preliminary. It could be more or less affected.
There are those who are still unaccounted for and those who are still trapped under buildings that have collapsed including many school children who are trapped in primary schools that have collapsed.

The quake struck 57 miles (92 kilometers) northwest of the Sichuan provincial capital of Chengdu at 2:28 p.m. (0628 GMT), the U.S. Geological Survey said on its Web site. It said the 7.5-magnitude quake was centered 6.2 miles (10 kilometers) below the surface.

The European Union and Japan have offered assistance... Other governments will do this as well... It is still early yet... One can be assured that there are people all over the world who are wanting to do something to provide assistance to the people of China who are affected by this quake.

yes, i read the news. I think earth is taking its toll. there's a lot of nature abusers in this world. Not hundreds but thousands of people got wounded and some are dead. This is one of the biggest earthquake in the history of mankind. Let's just pray for those who are affected and for those who passed away.
