Motorcycle vs. Car

My neighbor is an insurance adjuster and he just sold his motorcycle. He saw so many aftermaths of crashes and has seen such horrible injuries that he says he'd rather pay extra for gas for his car.

Motorcycles aren't the problem, drivers are. I think it'll begin to get safer for motorcycles as more people begin to drive them to work and back and eventually they may outnumber the cars! Car drivers don't look for bikes and that's more than half the problem, I think.

I almost hit a biker once and since then have been paranoid about it. I think I can spot one a mile away, even in my blind spots!

I've been riding for several years now to save gas money. You're right, it's quite a saving. Don't forget, though, that it's also more fun than a car. Saddlebags or a backpack can take care of some space for carrying things.

I have been walking and taking the bus and train!

I wish I had a motorcycle. When the weather is good I just ride a good old bicycle, but it's not so great for running errands and such. Talk about not having space to carry stuff.

We gave up our bikes about 4 years ago but have been seriously considering buying new ones - and with the way the price of gas is going, it makes it more worthwhile!

Hi Mechanicone! Gas prices are really increasing so high worldwide. Although, we don't have a motorcycle we just don't use the car often anymore, we just use the public transportation instead or if it is not really that far, we will just walk.

I wish my husband had one. It would help out so much. You are right, the gas prices are killing us. It's getting unreal and if it keeps up, there are going to be some business put out of business and a lot of unemployed people. Something has to give.

i have no other option then to agree with u, Oil prices hike is really killing and advesrsly effecting pricing of other commodities

I have car, but its converted on CNG along with Gasoline( dual system). its at half prices of Petrol. But constant price hike is distrubing, i dont have motor cycle and is not feasible as i have to travel almost 130Km a day

hmmm in motorcycle vs the cars i don't know who cna win they have advantages and handicaps...like car is much more safer motorcycle is not safer at all,motorcycle is verry samall and u can just don't have big problems in the traffic...the car is confortable and the motorcycle not...car is faster then motorcyvle...motorcycle is cheaper then the car expensive...motorcycle can cary 2 people but the car can transport from 2 to 10,12(big cars) people.So i think the winer is the car...more usefull
