How do you get rid of fleas?  

Try some flea spray. Take the dog to the vet. Or just get rid of the dog, that will solve it. Sorry...

well there are quite a few things you can do you can use tick spray or rubbing alcohol and rub that all over them they might howl and yell but it kills all the fleas and ticks. When thats done just buy a flea/tick collar hope that helps _ _

I have three dogs so I know how difficult fighting fleas is! Try putting some table salt inside the vacuum bag, vacuum thoroughly, and then throw the bag away outdoors. The salt will cause the fleas to dehydrate and die, put put the bag outdoors to make sure none escape anyway! Vacuum carefully around any cracks in the baseboard because fleas like hide and lay eggs there. I have a link to an article about some natural ways to get rid of fleas:

If you do resort to using flea bombs, just make sure everyone is out of the house, including pets (cover aquariums if you have any), and let the house air out well before anybody goes back in. I think the less we are exposed to chemicals, the better, but sometimes it's unavoidable. If you're not sure you may want to ask her doctor what he thinks.

I haven't heard about Borax killing fleas, and in all my research I haven't run across that information. It may work but I really don't know; maybe someone else will.

borax will not only dry out the fleas, but it also will dry out the eggs. Also, like I just posted, I found a flea remedy in a book that I was thumbing through at CostCo. The recipe is:

1 tsp dry rosemary or 1 tablespoon fresh.
1 pint water

bring the water to a boil and add the rosemary allowing it to steep for a few minutes. Then strain out the leaves and after the "tea" cools you can put it in a bottle and spray it to your heart's content. It should work with getting rid of the fleas in the house without harming your daughter's unborn baby. I haven't tried it out yet as I had to work yesterday but I am going to give it a try today.
