Arnie Arnesen ... Political Analyst Backs Barack Obama Over McCain |
|
Arnie is a popular and outspoken political analyst. She was on TV this evening. An attractive speaker that enunciates each word distinctly. According to her Hillary Clinton has had her chance and there is nothing more. She says, there's a story going around that if Hillary gains the White House where would Bill sleep. Obama is endorsed by Edwards too and a few Super Delegates that backed Hillary Clinton have changed their minds and are now endorsing Obama. And referring to John McCain, she said, McCain has nothing new to say on any subject. He is merely an extension of George Bush. This however, is not an open road to White House for Obama. He got to win the confidence of few more sections of the people.

2. BCMike (1816) | 6 months ago | Obama will do just fine. As I have said before, he is a bunch too liberal, (I don't agree with his politics) but I find myself liking him anyway. Hillary needs to just put this puppy to bed now and move on. She can still be a NY senator cuz everybuddy still loves there in the big apple. I am beginning to think that unless John McCain doesn't pick a dandy for a running mate, he will only see the White House as he drives by it. There's a long way to go to get to November, but McCain is going to have to make it bloody and personal to beat Obama.

Pitgull (803) | 6 months ago | "bloody and personal" That's what's the problem with these politics. Instead of being able to attack each other on their positions on issues (which is what matters) they're attacking Obama basically on any person he's come into contact with. It's funny, why don't people realize...considering we've all dealt with it, we've had people in our lives, that weren't necessarily positive, but we've learned from their faults or mistakes on who we DON't want to be. We can learn just as much, from negative people. When it comes to the issues, McCain is on the side of the oil companies. Gas Tax holiday doesn't keep the companies from raising their prices, it actually opens them up to raise them more.

BCMike (1816) | 6 months ago | politics is not nice. And being nice in any political arena will get you nowhere. If EVERYONE was nice, this would not need to be the case. But since not all the kids in the sand box play together nicely, there is no point being nice if you are the only one doing it.

3. Pitgull (803) | 6 months ago | Obama realizes what is going on in this country. Mind you the age groups that he attracts. The youth. Not to mention Abortion Rights groups, regardless of how everyone feels about this, they are supporting Obama. Over a woman. That tells you there is something different about him, if women trust that he will protect our rights more than what a woman would do for us, we have to take that into account. Our country is divided by generations. Obama has built the bridges, that links the youth, with our elder generation. Being a part of the Younger generation, I too often here, from my elders, you'll understand when you get older, things will never change, etc. No. You're wrong. We're tired of being pawns in a game, we see what goes on in other countries, we are using the education we learned in our country, about our country, to attempt to make this a better place. We need people in office who say YES we're going to try to fix this, instead of well, we just can't because we don't. Things are not okay. We need some serious work done, I believe in Obama...

OUTBACKBEN (742) | 5 months ago | You are right ... John McCain is full of room for prompts from his advisers ... but his advisers will always be on the side of making War to solve problems and NOT bent towards discussions. It's dangerous as George Bush and Cheney proved. That was a good and pointed observation.

mehale (1099) | 5 months ago | Annie, I totally agree with you about McCain. He is the last thing this country needs right now! We already have a very big mess on our hands to clean up from the past 8 years with Bush - we don't need a re-made version for the next 4 to 8 years to make it worse.

5. mehale (1099) | 5 months ago | I agree that the fight is not over for Obama, but I definitely believe that he is the best choice for president. I also have to agree completely with the feeling that McCain is simply Bush remade. We do not need 4 to 8 more years of failed Bush policies!
