Why do a lot of people think "different" is wrong?

people dont understand something different, theyre not usally exposed to that type of different they clam it different cause its not their way of lie, so they shun the fact of the act that is different cause they dont want to accept it ..say like if green aliens were walking this planet like regular normal people, some floks you welcome them and accept them the way they are others would not and call them different lets find something different about these people so that we wont like them and hate all of their people ..and this example can touch on all bases and races ...but the differnt people dont really give a crap of what the others or regular people have to say cause, theyre different and speical so were all different

I suppose there's an element of fear of the unknown maybe? If someone sees that you are different in any way to them, it maybe scares them and they might feel insecure in their own views/beliefs? On the other hand though, it might just be a simple case of those people being so arrogant, that they don't think any other life view or activity that's different to their own, is right or valid.

They are already different and they are right about whayt they think. As them.

yes, i too feel that when we are not the same as others, most of the people tend to think that they are wrong. i guess people just have this mindset that they are right. and even if they are wrong, most of them are unwilling to admit it.
we all think differently and react differently as you said. but most people still expect others to follow them especially in a really conservative society. if we want freedom and respect to live our life how we want to, they we need to offer that to others too. at the same time, if people can also be that way to us, then it would be so much better but unfortunately this is not the case usually.
