useless hair.

Being a medical student i always wondered how the hair pattern of people are fared in evolution?
I am talking about the scalp or head hair. Now I can not think of any primate having the distribution between that of ours and that of another primate. It shows the trichology can suggest that we might be evolutionally separate entities or the product of point mutations as suggested by many.

Now whatever hair we think to be useless were probably present in our ancestors for a purpose. well the purpose and presence may not be any relevance, but still it is one of those manly characters that are modified by testosterone and people can hardly do anything drastic about.
The only thing that logically is appropriate is not to consider this as a health problem but to consider it as a cosmetic problem so thereby minimize its affection on people's mind.

My 8 year old son came home from school the other day and informed me of why we have nose hair. "We have hairs in our nose's to keep the germs out." He is so funny. Every time he learns something like that he comes home and tells me. I guess it is good to know that he is paying attention in school.

I still don't understand why as some men get older the hairs get so much longer.

Hey, hair on a man isn't useless. It serves to show the differences between a man and a woman. Personally, I like my man to look and feel different to myself, so being hairy just draws attention to his masculinity.

Saying that, I do draw the line at ear hair!!

LOL!! Yes, I've seen many men with such hair and it's very unattractive. I guess it's there from when we used to need it thousands or millions of years ago but we no longer need it and many men cut it off. They can't do much about the back hair, poor things. I know women, though, who think back hair is attractive but to me that would be like hugging a bear or something!

i cant help but giggle with this post haha!
i hear a lot of guys complaining about their hair being in the wrong place, haha i cant imagine it.
love how you describe the hair in the ear and nose, it really disgust me (excuse my term LOL) to see them and i do try my best not to look back to that person once i see it like that.
i do remind my husband to groom himself so he feels clean and he wont disgust others by his appearance hahaha!
he appreciate it though BUT i appreciate it more.
i think it is hard for the man to keep himself trim specially if he lives somewhere where others dont care or if they dont have somebody to help them shave it up.

lol. My husband is only 35 but for years now he has this one eyebrow hair that just kind of grows willy nilly. It gets really long and sticks straight out. Every time we see it, we pluck it but it is very funny.

He does get nose hair too but he is very good about watching that now. One day he was picking at me and bugging me and I said hold still you have something right.... There and I plucked a nose hair. lol Now he watches for them. Not that I would ever do it again but it was funny.

The most useless hair that I have ever seen is on men who have the eyebrows growing all over the place, going every which way and almost like they are blowing in the wind.. You talk to them and your eyes just keep wandering back to the eyebrows.. Trim them..

Yeah i agree completely, some people have hair all ovcer and they sure do comb it, it really ugly. I feel like to advice, but seeing them comb it, makes me feel like he just loves that hair so dearly...so i just back off..
