1. thepheonix (156) | 3 months ago | yes some teachers are really a bit mean i don't understand of why they behave like that but the best thing to say was most of the teachers i have encountered till now were a bit positive to me so i dint have to face much problem but its not that good being mean i am planning to be a professor and then i will apply rule that talent means every thing and tell my students to improve talent than trying to impressing their lecturers

| 2. siongchee (23) | 3 months ago | well basically, if the teacher is mean there can only be 2 possibility. one is that the teacher is by nature mean the other will be that the teacher is doing for the students' best. from what i experience, there are many teachers out there and each and every teacher have their own set of teaching methods. some teachers do it the soft-tactic which is will never get angry at you but will persist that you do your work and study. some will use the hard-tactic, commonly known to students as mean. this method one is sort of to force the student to learn the subject, which normally i feel isn't at all working well. but there are still alot of teachers out there using the hard-tactic. i kind-of realise this when after i graduate from my secondary school, btw i am from singapore, i was working there as a IT support. been to many classes to do service for their notebooks as well as the class desktop. so eventually realise what their method was. believe me when you are looking at how they teach when you are a student and when you come back as alumni the way they treat you will be very different.

3. anshulsood (157) | 3 months ago | yes it does!! If a teacher is mean it will directly effect the morale of the student and his/her confidence, which will directly effect his/her academics. Teachers i think should also be told told what to do and what not to or what to be and what not to be before giving them the task of handling and grooming students. Its a big ask for a student to perform if a teacher is mean to him and does not behave properly as it will also effect his/her mental approach towards the concerned thing leading to non interest.

| 4. yellowpolkas (43) | 3 months ago | Mean in what way? If a teacher is being strict to their student, I think that's a good effect to the student. If a teacher scold their student, that's a different story. It can cause trauma to a student which may affect their study.

5. Mechanicone (563) | 3 months ago | Of course it does, someone who is mean directs that towards other people around them, is negative in their thinking and just doesn't care about others feelings usually. I hate mean people.

| 6. rupturetissue (97) | 3 months ago | yes definitely if the teacher is mean then it does have a bad effect on the students. It sets a bad example before the children and this is not the job of the teacher but the job of the teacher is to set a gud example and by doing the right things

7. wayz12 (542) | 3 months ago | In the hands of a teacher lies the power of making a student's day miserable or happy. Whether he likes it or not, a teacher's mood is powerful in affecting the atmosphere of his classroom. A teacher is just like any person. He can have a bad day or can be in a foul mood. Still this is not an excuse to be mean, especially to the young minds that are there to be nurtured by him. Every teacher is aware of this responsibility, or should be. So, yes, whatever is the teacher's mood, it definitely will have an impact on his students.

8. choudhary03 (476) | 3 months ago | Yes it has definite effect on student. Teachers are regarded as next to parents. Most of the time students spend their time with teachers and if they are mean you can understand the effects which a student will undergo.

| 10. duksa5 (44) | 3 months ago | that definitely has an effect. this happened to me last year when i was in 11th grade. i had an english teacher that i could not stand, i knew she didn't like me. she always had "favorites" and i can't forgive her for doing that. seriously, it is so easy for her favorites to get A's in the reports that we do. I never got anything higher than a C. you know how i know she has favorites? well in the year before that, i had her for the same class, in 10th grade however. it was a very easy class back then. i would always pull A's and B's i knew that she liked me that year. but then for some reason she flipped the switch and started making things a little difficult for me. its not just me who knows she has favorites. it was clear to EVERYONE who had/has her class that she has favorites. now, this bothers me because it is not only unfair to those whom she doesn't like, but it is not going to help out those who she grades easier because they wont be ready for the future because she went easy on them but the next teacher wont. in other words, she is cheating for them.
