Copyright Infringement in the Software Industry

Any unlawful or unauthorized use of materials covered by copyright laws is considered copyright infringements. How serious is this in the Software Industry? Very, very serious. The Software Industry relies heavily on copyrighted information. It is their means of living. That is why Anti-piracy laws are established to protect their works from being copied and used by others to make money out of it or produce derivatives without having to acknowledge and justly compensating the real copyright owner.

The Software Pirates are one of the worst enemies of the the Software Industry. But as I recall it correctly…I remember having to land a job in this big company as a Software Developer, and to my surprised all the Software being used by this company is illegally acquired, so the moment I found this out, I quit my job immediately…and to my surprise…the relatives of the owner of this company are prominent IT Executives…one of them occupies the highest ICT post, another one is the head of Anti-Piracy task force, and several are oocupying managerial positions in a questionable giant multi-national IT/BPO company. Does sounds weird? Ok, I have not confirmed that linkage between the owners of the company and these IT execs but having to hear how their last names equated, that concludes my suspicions.
