do you think before joining a site? |
|
It's the week-end again and more people have time to be at their computers and therefore more people will be looking for ways to earn money online. More people will be joining the sites that state they will be better than all the others out there and more people will be getting scammed Read the TOS (TermsOfService) before registering in a site and make sure you understand everything. Most sites state that they have the right to change there terms but certain things should be there from the start. If in the terms the minimum payout is not stated and there is no mention of which payment processor is being used by the site would you consider it a scam? Could it be that the site has no intention of paying cash but you would only be able to convert your earning to ads? Do you think of these things BEFORE joining?

1. obidan (306) | 2 months ago | Oh, well...no... I never read the ToS, it's so long and if it is a scam site, the statement that says something like,,we won't pay you '' is going to be hidden somewhere in the ToS, so unless I read it all ( which will probably take me 1 day), i'll get scammed. The only thing I do before joining a site that was not recommended by anyone is check it out on google, I usually write stuff like: x scam x proof join x been paid by x X= the name of the site

mysdianait (1857) | 2 months ago | To avoid unpleasant surpises it is always best to read at least some of the things stated. New sites just launched will not always appear on Google and not always reccomendations are worthy of our trust - some people promote scams too. They say they got 'paid' from a site when they really mean 'earnt' which is very different.

mysdianait (1857) | 2 months ago | Some sites are perfectly honest but do not pay. That does not make them a scam. It states in their TOS that all money can be converted into advertising BUT without reading the TOS you could be unaware of this.

hcpoirot (850) | 2 months ago | Thats sound like scam to me. If they cannot paid, ghey should at least write it very big infront pages and not small print in the TOS. I hate that.

3. Emiese (269) | 2 months ago | I am not a fan of the terms of services. It really is a shame, and I know very well that I should read them, just like one should read the fine print in any contract. But the TOS on websites are normally insanely long, and the likelyhood of picking up that little waiver or sentence where they tell you something very important is very slim. So I trust other things instead, I google the site, now sine I have been a member here, I look here and then mainly use common sense. The first thing I look at is if it is sustainable, I mean if it says that you can buy ads there fore a couple of dollars but claims to give 10$ for every click, then it is not likely to be right. I mean the point of the site is to make profits for the owners, and they will not payout from their own pockets the difference from the ad sales and the click costs! That is common sense!

mysdianait (1857) | 2 months ago | As I said above, some sites state they will only convert earnings to ads but unless you read the TOS you are unaware of this and get an unpleasant surprise when you request cashout. On one well-known site it states that if you request cash-out your account will be deleted.

Emiese (269) | 2 months ago | Ouch! That will be a painful realization when that happens! But I guess all is fair in love and war, and this seems to be a huge war about the referrals and advertisers:)

4. LauraT2008 (887) | 2 months ago | I never read the TOS before joining a site. I always rely on hearing that someone else has been paid or else make sure I see payment proofs before joining. If I dont see either of these then I do spend a little time on the site to check it out, and then post a question here on mylot to see if anyone has any experience with the site. ThingS I actually do check are the min payout and if the site pays through paypal, or alertpay and whether or not they accept international members.

5. vicneedscoffee (854) | 2 months ago | I check sites out before I join, so I know it is a egit paying site. There are many forums that report scams sites. If you do a quick check you can find out if a site is likely to be a scam.

mysdianait (1857) | 2 months ago | But not always. If a site opens today it would not always appear immediately in searches. Some sites state in the TOS that earnings are only for ads - that does not always appear in searches either.

| 8. webdosh (13) | 2 months ago | You should always think before joining a site. There are privacty issues you should always consider. And try to do some research on the site before hand. The internet makes it so much easier for us to spot a scam, however there are some sites that actually pay people to write good reviews about their sites. Bottom line is think before u do anything, and if its too good to be true, then it really is too good to be true.:)

10. twallace (1406) | 2 months ago | I was one of those that joined with hi hopes only to get disappointed that the earnings were not what i thought they were. To really make any serious earning you had to pay a fee. That really kicked me to the curve. The only on that i can say i have earned is my lot no pay out yet. For a while i just stopped all together until i got the hang of how to make a little something. Disscuss something that interest you and comment on other discussions. I found that my numbers increased when i commented more instead of trying to start discussions.
