A reboot does just that...re-boots,re-starts...it doesn't solve anything if you restart it 6 times, 1 restart= 2 restarts= 20 restarts= 100 restarts. Anyways, the other ones are pretty useful for people that didn't know. I would also like to add: Keep the drive C:// cleaned up well Desktop should also be clean Keep your hardrive at least 20% clear so that the memory doesn't burn. Mine aren't rules, but they do help in improving the performance in your computer a bit

mrgpk66 (751) | 3 months ago | Yes it does Help as the C Drive does Fragment that is Bits & Pieces of Data get Seperated from the Program as the Computer is run. You are Promted to Restart for Changes after You Install New Software as to make the Changes in Your File System. It does Work for Me as I had a Slow Restart & Shut Down. Restart did Help this Problem as it does Undo Changes made during Normal Usage. I Noticed Faster Restart Time after the 5th Restart. I Read this that Restarting 6 Times does Help Solve many Computer Problems & it does Help as even a Single Restart does Help. A Restart smply Helps Reverse most Changes that just Occur in Your Machine as Hardrives are ot a perfect Data Storage Device so We need to use the Defgrament Tool to get the Data Pieces that are Lost as Data is Positively & Negatively Charged Particles that are Attracted to Your Hardrive. But not a Strong Attraction or Charge, so some Data Winds up in another Area of Your C Drive. That is Why You Errors in Programs & tend to Run Slow. You ever get a Message Bad File or Corrupt Data or Invalid Command, Well Your Data even a Single Bit is Lost & these Messages Pop Up

Better do some hardware test to localize or pin point the problem. Its a disaster about to happen. Your 2nd suggestion is a very sound one.
