Fast Forwarding or Watching? |
|
I am probably the only person I know who can record a show and not fast forward through all the openings. I don't get HBO and so I rented some seasons of The Sopranos and my sister recorded the last ones for me. I never skip the opening! I just love the song, the way it goes through the show, and Tony's ride through New Joisey. I think it's pretty much perfect. How about you? Any shows you play through the opening, or do you always fast forward?

1. minnie_98214 (3744) | 3 months ago | I am impatient so I will fast forward thru the opening but there are a few shows that my kids will get so mad at me if I fast forward thru the songs. My youngest son just loves music so much.

2. pyewacket (7836) | 3 months ago | Mmm...well I'm a bit guilty there at fast forwarding...not so much the opening of a taped or DVD show or movie, but I fast forward the "commercials" for coming attractions of DVDs that are to come out by the same production company..Disney movies are kind of famous for this and show about five theatre trailers of upcoming movies...yikes just so many times one can watch that...hehe

Anhedonia (1779) | 3 months ago | Oh yeh. .I hate the trailers. Sometimes they try to trick you to make it hard to forward.

4. ShepherdSpy (1038) | 3 months ago | For shows I record off air on my DVD recorder, and especially favourite shows,I'd pretty much watch all of it,though there's usually maybe a minute or so of ads before the show actually starts which I'll happily ffwd through, and the "Chapter step" usually cuts out the 3 minute or so Ad breaks quite neatly! With Pre-recorded Movies, depending on the trailers,if they're movies I like or might consider viewing at another time,I may watch the first time I get the disc, but on subsequent viewings it's straight to the "menu" option and the "play movie" graphic!

6. dfn12968 (5595) | 3 months ago | When I used to watch TV, I would never miss the opening of Friends, The Facts of Life, Happy Days, and The Jeffersons. I liked any show that had a catchy tune. I am sure there are many more, but I can't think of them now. I'll be back if I remember.

Anhedonia (1779) | 3 months ago | I know all the words to that! She was working in a bridal shop in Flushing Queens till her boyfriend kicked her out in one of those crushing scenes Where was she to go what was she to do? She was out on her fannnnnnnnnnnnny! So over the bridge from Flushing to the Sheffield's door she was there to sell make up but the father saw more She had style, she had flair, she was there! That's how she became the Nanny. Who would have guessed that the girl we described was just exactly what the doctor prescribed? Now, the father finds her beguiling, watch out C.C., The kids are actually smiling, such joie de vivre She's the lady in red when everybody else is wearing tan. The flashy girl from Flushing, the Nanny named Fran. (Okay, I got the first couple, copied and pasted the rest, got lazy!) Catchy tune, love tha tone!

8. rjscott (1750) | 3 months ago | I fast-forward through opening CREDITS (when the DVDs that I rent allow it). Some will not. I also have Comcast's "On Demand" feature which permits me to FF to the "meat" of the programs. Life's too short to watch things that have no meaning to me ... and I HONESTLY don't care about who produced a film or who designed the costumes, along with lots of other credits ... which are often so small they can't be read anyway.

I can't stand advrtizements. I don't need someone out there trying to talk me into buying something I really don't need.
