Friday night rant

That is awful that your kids will not do what you ask and listen to you. My daughter used to be like that but she grew out of it. I hope your husband can be home for some time over the weekend to help you out with them. I think they know you are limited right now so they are taking advantage of it more also.

i am so very sorry to hear how that your Friday night is going so far. growling at each other? lol i swear. my boys went to spend the night tonight at one of their friend's house, and i swear, right before that they left to go over to their friend's house, they started fighting and kicking each other, and then i sent the ten year old in his room until their friend's Mom got here, and then i even told him that he wasn't going to spend the night, so he said i don't care, and as soon as she pulled up to pick up the boys for the night, he hollered out of his bedroom, i want to go to, i hollered back at him and said you better hurry and go for it!!! lol you know? i cannot stand it when the boys get into fights like that. they are getting way too big for me to be trying to break up a fight, but i can still do it thou. lol

I would not be able to tolerate that at all, and that's why my husband and I have no intentions of having children. I don't know how some people put up with that kind of disrespectful rude behaviour. They woudln't last with me, for more than about 15 seconds!!

You poor thing! Yes, as the saying goes, if they know where your goat is tied, they'll get it!
Kids always act worse for Mom at home. I figure everyone thinks I'm a total nutcase when I show up in public looking all wrecked, mad and ranting. They didn't see my kids fighting and screaming in the car, didn't see what I had to go through to get them out of the house in decent condition, and never see how many times I have to remind them and chase after them to keep up with and put up all their junk! The kids switch on their best public behavior and everyone says, "Aren't they nice? Aren't kids great?"
I see their better public behavior not as a good thing, but as their grand conspiracy to make me look crazy and get me hauled off!

we were too young to know that and boy did we hop to. we did
all thethings that we had refused to do before, and did
them in record time as we were so sure she was going to leave
us.WE did all the chores we had complained about and even fixed
lunch for her. I never did forget that. she sounded so angry and I had never known my mom to tell a lie.Just make it sound really convincing and I bet they do do as they were originally told to do. I pulled that once on myson when he was little and it worked too. good luck

Your night sounds like my life Mooch.
When things like that happen i swear for a split second i become homicidal, then i have to remind myself that i'm in controle HA. My kids have this habit of getting on my nerves just when they are already frazzled.So i can truly say i know what you're going through.... Be strong be firm..Oh who i'm i kidding, just pray lol.

Oh dear, sounds like your weekend is off to a bad start! I hope things get better quickly! I know what it's like to have husband at work on weekends as mine does it 9 months of the year and is just about to start again after 3 weekends at home...not looking forward to it as the kids HATE it! xxoo

The kids are going to try you Mooch with your hubby gone. They know you can't get up and chase them around. They know you can't do much buy yell at them, and they can still do what they want. Hope you get to feeling better.. and sorry the little one got slugged.. I think that girl needs a punching bag.
