Because I started early, his room is usually neat now that he's 16, and I don't have problems with him leaving a mess everywhere. When he got older he started doing dishes and taking the trash out. This was around age 7. Now, he does all of that and cleans his own bathroom and does his own laundry some of the time. He is a good kid!
