1. mimico (781) | 3 months ago | I don't agree with cybersex being a crime when both parties involved consent to it anyway and no one really gets harmed. Also, I feel that hacking and other virus-related problems are caused by antivirus companies because it kind of weird that the antivirus softwares are able to kill viruses right away even though the virus is fairly new. I mean, if there were no viruses then these companies would go broke right? It's the same as Bush creating violence in order to have a market for his guns... Anyway, I'm getting off track here. Again, I don't agree that internet crimes are at an all time high. What goes on in the real tangible world is worse.

2. egdcltd (427) | 3 months ago | The Internet is a bit of a buzzword where crime is involved. You get more brownie points for cracking down on an Internet related crime than a purely offline one. Which means a disproportionate amount of resources are expended which could be better employed elsewhere. Cybersex isn't generally illegal, although it probably is specifically illegal in some countries.

4. Asylum (3232) | 3 months ago | I certainly agree that internet crime is rife, and I expect it to increase in the near future. The obvious attraction is the opportunity to commit crimes from a distance and reduce the danger of being caught. It will take a great deal of effort to police the internet effectively and reduce the level, so the most effective defence at present is to make the public aware.

| 5. Araiya (51) | 3 months ago | You must be living in some backwater country for cybersex to be considered a crime. The freedom to express yourself intimately with one or several other people is only a crime if you are doing something that's just wrong, eg: an adult exposing himself on camera for a minor, for sexual purposes. As for the other things like 'hacking', maybe it's time people learned how to protect themselves online, instead of bleating like sheep when a wolf comes to slaughter. Further, as for people who let their computers be taken over by junk software... I wish people would have more of a sandbox mentality about software they install. Test it on a non-essential terminal, or in a virtual PC that can be isolated from everything, instead of blindly installing the latest toolbar that turns half the neighborhood into another leg of another major botnet. Additionally, keep on top of security (firewall, anti-crapware, anti-virus), software and system patches. It makes NO sense to just give them a road in to doing things, right? However, I'm just going to let it go from here, and go watch people fall off IRC because someone says "DCC SEND LOLCATSAREFUNNY".

6. ferdzNK (1686) | 3 months ago | I agree with you in internet crimes, computer now a days are relatively cheaper compared to previous years, plus the medium(ISP) is as well getting faster and reliable. This means more internet users will be online and of course exploiter would use this for their benefits.

| 7. profitsg (93) | 1 month ago | I wouldnt say that it is at all time high because the security now is acutally pretty good as compared to the past where there are alot of loopholes for hackers to expolit. The crime in real world are in fact way more and damaging as compared to crime on internet. Cybersex is not a crime in the first place because it is both willing parties.

9. crisesand (531) | 1 month ago | Yeah, I agree, but bad hacking, or cracking is the most widespread. Sometimes, even when you choose not to engage in it, unlike cybersex, you'll still be victimize. I'm always keeping eye on online theft, like that one who can steal not just your money but also personal identity. They can use your account say your email or other account for cracking into your funds or doing crimes with your identity as their mask.
