Actually it's a little hard to make anything more than a general comment on what you've said, as the details of the matter aren't available - at least, not that I can see here.

If true, then it's probably a sad thing that the silly fellow drowned. Possibly a foregone conclusion if he was prone to such behavior.

It's probably not the sort of thing that beer vendors would like to see publicized - they always seem to be promoting the idea that beer brings "good times" to everyone's friends and families.

It's a real shame his two friends weren't able to save him between the two of them. It really is stupid for someone who can't swim to even want to steal a canoe! Most of the people I know who can't swim are a bit afraid of water to begin with.

I know it isn't funny to laugh because someone drowned.. but Gosh... stealing a canoe and they can't swim?! What would possess someone to do that? I keep thinking each one of these dumb crook discussions will be the funniest, but you keep topping them Mooch! I can't help it.. I can't stop laughing! The owner was a good man to not press charges against the other 2 guys. That is tragic.. but it is so stupid it is funny too...in a morbid kind of way.

Hi mooch! My, how could they be that dumb! But it is sad somehow when things turn into tragedy like this. I hope those survivors will learn their lesson well and turn their ways.

Yup drinking and swimming definately do not mix. I remember when I was about 11 years old. I was visiting my dad in Florida and a friend of his got REALLY drunk out by the pool. He decided to dive in but didn't realize which end of the pool he was on. He dove in... to the shallow end. Someone immediately dove in to get him but he had cracked his head wide open. They used my towel to wrap around his head and rushed him to the hospital. He ended up being ok but that was the first time I had ever seen someone seriously injured because of drinking.

People do some crazy thinks when they are drunk.

What an awful thing to happen - i mean I know they were silly and drunk but how truly awful - a waste of life for sure. I do agree that I hope it teaches his friends a lesson! xxx

That is just plain sad. I agree with you, hopefully his friends will learn from his mistake. I hope a lot of people that like to drink while boating learn something here.
