Would you sell your old furniture on Ebay.com

If I were you I would think about calling sallys or putting it on freecycle. I use those an awful lot. If you really want money for it toss it on criags list, honestly I do not think ebay is a good idea for furniture. Heck if it is in decent condition chances someone will pull it right outta the trash too

Like the previous poster suggested, I would also put it on craigslist. I've sold the ugliest sofa on the planet on craigslist, so if that sold, anything will.

Ebay is really difficult to deal with unless you want to do the Ebay local thing. I've never put anything on there, so I'm leery of recommending it,but I know people who have used it successfully in the past.

I have to agree... Ebay probably isn't your best bet. Craigslist would probably bring you about the same money and you'd save on the fees. Give them a try first.

It sounds like a good idea to me. I have never should any funiture on ebay. My best friend and her husband sold a t shirt press. That you could press designs onto t-shirts. They didn't do as well as they thought they would. That was a big machine. I forget how much they got for it now but it was huge.

Hello dear beauty queen. I have not had any business on ebay, nor on any other sites. But I love your environmental idea as to ask for advice on how to deal with the used, yet still in-good-condition furniture. I like the saying when we say,"someone's trash can be fully used by someone else". Or you can also give it to someone who needs it. This way, it won't end up in the trash. Thank you, dear friend.

It might be an idea to contact your local housing charity and see if they can use the old furniture to help out others. I know the Salvation army often collect furnture for their homeless shelters, I'm sure they would be happy to have any donations.

I sold all my old furniture in the seconds sale through free local ads. Many responses and everything was sold as per the cut-off pay.

Over here there's a local charity that takes unwanted used furniture reconditions it and gives it to people who can't afford furniture, you could find out if there's similar service where you live.
I'm shopping for a piano stool on Ebay and lots of people do sell their old furniture on Ebay, it's just difficult to post it. But you can have the "pick up only" option so only people local to you who could collect it themselves would bid.

I think I won't sell anything via Ebay any more. As even if you can't sell anything, you have to pay for it anyway and it is not so reasonable in my opinion. I prefer to sell on Taobao because it is free of charge. Besides, selling furniture via the net seems to be harder. First, you have to take very good photos for your furniture so that it will attract the buyers. Second, the delivery fee can be very high since the furniture is heavy.

I think selling on ebay is ok, but shipping would be very expensive! do you have a local craiglist or kiiji (check the spelling of that) that is local to you to sell stuff on?
how about a garage sale? we are having 3 in the next 3 weekends, bring it over!:-)
