id contact a museum that has an archeological dept.. and speak to someone there, tell them what youve found, and have them come check it out. if it is something of a valueable discovery.. you dont want it destroyed because you might damage something not being trained in how to excavate such things. congrats and good luck in it being something with historical value!! you mightve just struck gold.. literally!thumbup

Rather than risk damaging any by digging up more, contact the closest university with a natural history department (and preferably an on campus museum) or the closest natural history museum and, if they're close enough, take the items to them so they can tell if it's something they'd have interest in. If they're interested, they might want to come dig for themselves so any others won't be damaged. If they aren't nearby, they might ask you to photo them and email the digital photo to them. But, don't dig more until you've at least tried to contact someone who studies such things. Don't wash them, either, unless they say you can.

If, though, they don't seem at all interested, then carefully extract the rest, clean them (using a soft brush if you have it), and either display them yourself, sell them on eBay after identifying them, or donate them to a school for use in their science department.

I e-mailed them now I just wait if they are intrested. I told them I did dig up some and haven't done anything with the rest of them. Hopfully it works if not than I will continue looking around, than it all goes to a school.

Let us know what happens, OK?

Oh - if the "big guys" aren't interested, check the local community college and see if they have an archaeological certificate program. If so, it might be interesting to their instructors to have something to "dig" for the students to learn - but work it out that they refurbish the lawn after they're done.

I don't know what kind of fossils, but it might be a palaeontology department you'll want, too.
