Anyone else had this problem?

I thought I would take a moment to start a discussion about best friends (aka bff). You know the person who has always had her back and has been there for you time and time again. Well me and my best friend have been bff's since 3rd grade when I moved to town. About a year ago she started dating a younger guy who dissaproved of me and did everything possible to stop us from being friends. She always said she would never believe a guy over me (ho's before bro's). Well that didn't happen he started a rumor saying that I was telling everyone that she needed to get someone better than him and she believed him even though I didn't say anything at all. So we ended up at a party one night where we actually got into a physical roll around in the dirt fight. It was awful she incinuated the fight and almost got arrested. We still have not spoken to this day and that happened last july. She has said to other's she's not sure she could forgive me - even though I didn't do anything. I would forgive her but I can't forget about it. I just thought someone in a similar situation could give advice or even share your story with me. It's just been bothering me for awhile so I thought i'd get it all out. Thanks for listening.....
