Have you ever been shocked when you didn't earn money on MyLot?

Nope! Mine just says Thursday March 2008. So, maybe they do things differently on the weekend. Then again, we do have about 15 minutes before 10 AM (EST). There's still time yet. It's not written in stone. They can be a little late. It's OK!

Many factors are involved in your MyLot rating. Perhaps other members have given you a positive rating due to all your good responses or thoughtful posts. When people like what you have to say, they click the plus sign, sort of to show applause.

Updating discussions is a good way to win friends. But, you won't really earn that much money updating discussions. I know that it's easier to update discussions than to come up with a new discussion. But, it's just the way it works. You have to post lots of high quality discussions first and then update them as you can during the day that you post. Sometimes it's not possible to get around to every discussion or every person that comes by discussions. You just try to respond to the ones you have time for. In other words, just have fun. Don't let anyone ruin your MyLot fun.

Plus MyLot earnings is based on overall community involvement or at least that's what it says in the Mylot terms of service. So, every little thing you do from uploading pictures and updating your interests to posting insightful discussions and answering other posts will help not only your earnings, but your rating as well.

Sometimes it just takes time to hit a higher rating. But, when you get there, you'll feel so good about it. Best of luck on MyLot.

OK, I did not know that about them updating slow on weekends. And, sorry if my tone sounded rude in my discussion. I wasn't trying to be rude to MyLot friends.

I have insomnia lately and I'm not getting much sleep. So, it affects my writing style. Some people have read my posts and thought that I'm purposely trying to be rude and take the things I'm saying, personally as if I'm pointing them out. And, I'm not! I'm just really tired and worn out. Odd, considering that it's so early. I think it's just stress. I can't explain it better than that. Just tired!

I wasn't complaining or anything about the earnings. So, I do appreciate you taking my comment in a good way! LOL! I meant for my post to read like I had been surprised at not getting any earnings and then I realized that I had just woken up too early to see the new results. It may not have come across that way. Just 15 minutes after I posted, they updated the earnings on time and all was well. I guess they do things different on holiday weekends as you mentioned.

Some people have interpreted my post to say that I'm dissatisfied with my earnings. Definitely not! MyLot is so super generous with members that post quality discussions. I checked out your profile page and you have tons of really good discussions. Hope you don't mind if I drop by and post comments.

I'm so happy to see you back! My family went through this whole potential job loss thing this past couple of weeks and I've been so stressed out. I think it's been showing in my discussions. Everything is falling about around my ears. It's nice to have friends back among us.
