learn how to prepare the oil paint before actual painting  email this discussion to a friend?

granny33 (0) 4 years ago

I use to paint with the Bob Ross method many years ago. I loved it. However I haven't been able to pursue it for a long time. Now I would like to pick it up again but I'm looking for the answer on what to do with the paint after you squeeze it out of the tub.
I'm sure that something is done to thin out the paint a little and I don't know if you mix in paint thinner or not. HELP !!

Hello!
If the oil paint haven't harden yet for a long time, you can still use it with Linseed oil and mix in a little bit of Turpentine to either thin it or apply it on the canvas. Always remember the rule "Fat over Lean". Hope that helps!
