who among the three characters do you prefer and why: yuna, rinoa, tifa  

Among the three female Final Fantasy characters that you have enumerated, though we can distinguish them in different ways, my choice would be Rinoa Heartilly.

She's more grounded in reality compared to Tifa Lockhart's overwhelming strength which doesn't go along with her physique. Yuna also has her traits that doesn't go well with realism, I'd mentioned her different eye color for that one.

Anyway, that's just how I reason it.

i like yuna, because she looks more like a real human... And i like her outfit too! I love her lovestory with tydus... and i love her boots!

I prefer Tifa. I love her. I think she is very sexy.
I don't like sweet women like yuna and rinoa.

Tifa have a vey good figthing skill instead of cast
some weak spell and wait for a help by others character.

Well I vote for her, TIFA.

I like Tifa better because she's more of a fighter than the other two. I actually like women who really fight, and Tifa is one of them. Yuna and Rinoa are more of the sweet women, while Tifa is fighter, but can still love a man like Cloud. :D

I like yuna best she would give up her own life for ppl to just have the calm for awhile but she is still weak and human at the same time i like that combo of strength and weakness in her

and just the way she is presented in the story
she just seems much more unforgetable than the other 2

Hmm, out of those three? That's a tough call. I suppose I'd have to go with Yuna on this one. I never really could relate to Tifa, nor could I to Rinoa (she was just too annoying to me, and I never used her in my party).

Yuna, however, was a girl that I used in my party regularly. Her abilities with the Aeons were very handy in a tight spot, as was her magic (Holy, anyone?).

Not to mention I feel for her character. Growing up in a dark world, losing her father at a young age to a religion she wound up fully believing in... deciding to follow in her father's footsteps, and what happens? Some guy from the past shows up and turns her world upside down. She probably never would have learned half of the things about Seymour than she did with Tidus around, and thus many of the stuff in game never would have happened. She doesn't even get a happy ending in FFX; instead, (SPOILER! WARNING!) her boyfriend disappears in a poof of pyreflies (END SPOILER! WARNING!) and she believes she'll never see him again. That's two people she's lost to one religion, which she'd believed in all of her life- her father, and her boyfriend.

My theory is that in FFX-2, she flipped. Maybe a LITTLE of her personality change in that game was due to her being free of religion, but I also think she went more than a little insane, after all of that pressure on her all her life. Not to mention she was still famous as the High Summoner. For those of you who got the Perfect Ending in FFX-2, did you notice how much quieter and... content... she was at that point, as compared to the rest of the game?

...Er, yeah. So Yuna's definitely my favorite. Sorry for the rant.

Hmm, for me Tifa would be better, well it was kinda obvious since she's my favorite among the three. She was more of a fighter than the three and not to mention quite powerful too. She can fight even just using her fist and strength, I really like her skills in martial arts. I really think that among female characters of Final Fantasy, she was one of the strongest character.

While that's no where near the real amount of female characters, I'll still answer your prerequisite question. Out of Yuna, Tifa and Rinoa, I like Yuna as a character and battle type (summoner + white mage). Rinoa had personality issues and Tifa did a couple of questionable things character wise.

Now out of all of Final Fantasy, I prefer the female characters Aeris Gainsborough, Tina/Terra Branford, Celes Chere.

I personally prefer Tifa, and here are my reasons (personal):

1. I love a woman which is not weak and do battle along with the person she loves. Tifa is really the woman, and I believe her body works well with her abilities. She is not really powerful I think, but her agility is better than average women!

2. I love, again, a woman which is not weak in love. You see that Rinoa was afraid of losing Squall, and she showed it clearly. Yuna, which was fighting hard to control her love toward Tidus was broken down at the lake, and she was crying... As for Tifa, I could feel real patience in love, that love does not always take possession to someone she loves, that friendship and good relationship are more important. Tifa cares about Cloud so much that she always thinks about him first...

3. Well, I must admit that I want to touch a real nipple Tifa has...!

I'd have to go with Rinoa, but my reason is a really simple one: FF8 was my first FF, so she has a "special place" in my heart.
Second would be Tifa, for her strong personality.
And Yuna last (though she's not a bad character).
