 Most people like to think that there's that one person out there that your destined to love and live life with. That one person you're willing to show your no make-up morning face to or love enough to expose them to your crazy family holiday dinner. So what makes your "one", your one?

Although this may be beyond reasonable thinking, and though I am seperated from the love of my life, what makes them the ONE for me is that undeniably, there is a great soul connection, despite the obvious intolerable traits that each one of us cannot deal with in the other, so much so that we cannot live together.
So that is it in a nutshell..I feel a deep soul connection, be it my spirtuality or whatever one cares to call it.
I know it in my soul, there is and never will be another for me. How can this be when to be with one another only brings heartache?
If I could explain that phonemena I would do so.
Others will say, do not waste your love on that situation.
But truly, I can say with all of me, that this is very valid for me.
And I hold my head up and my dignity through it all, despite how the world may view this feeling.
I am entitled to my feelings, for that is all that is left me now. xo

I know that for me it's that sould deep conection where you know what the other is feeling even if 1,500 miles seperate you and you know the face they're making even if you're just on the phone. That kind of deep knowing is one that is rare I believe and one you can't help but feel for a lifetime, together or not. I'm not with my one either but I believe we're headed towards getting there. | |

| GardenGerty (20272) | 2 years ago |  I had the privilege to marry my high school sweetheart, and we were very spiritually connected. In the end, when he was in the nursing home, I stayed round the clock, as I knew what he wanted even though he lost his ability to speak and tell those around him. I was glad I was there for him. I met my second husband through a newspaper, and felt very connected to him right away. I learned just a couple of years ago that I met Bob at the time that my daughter was on a retreat and she an adult friend were praying for me to meet someone special to be with. Bob has been with me through helping raise nephews and nieces, deaths of my sister, my mom, and lots of other things. He fit right in. My family loves him too.

Being able to find to great loves is lucky indeed and it's great to have been able to have them at such important parts in life. That's a true blessing. | |

GardenGerty (20272) | 2 years ago | When I met Bob, it was like a gift to me, in that he had had some sad things in his life that he survived and I was coming up in the middle of a lot of difficult things myself. He is such a positive person, and no pretense about being smarter or better than anyone else. He also obviously loves his family, sisters and parents, etc. so I knew he would also love me and mine. I guess he just is so full of pure love. | |

3.  sageivyberyl (703) | 2 years ago |  What makes my husband my 'one' is the little things. He knows how I like my coffee. He knows that sad movies are guaranteed to make me cry and he is prepared. I can ask him anything and he will tell me the truth as he sees it. We can agree to disagree. He will listen to my point of view even if he has a different one. It will not always change his mind but he will consider it. He doesn't take my need to be alone sometimes personally. He can argue any side of an issue so I can get my need to debate out of my system. He calls me at least once a day just to tell me he loves me even after being married for 9 years. He makes me laugh.

even when I'm all PMS and hormonal.
He loves me unconditionally.
And he has stuck around and been my
best friend when my other friends
have just vanished for no good reason.
When we don't talk for awhile, cause
he's away on business or at work, I feel
lonely and can't wait to hear his voice!
He supports all my crazy dreams and business ideas.
I just couldn't imagine my life without him.
He makes me sublimely and deliriously happy!
That makes him my one and only!
