china hacked the US power grid!  

When did this happen? I know the magazine is from May, but when did this blackout take place? I'm not sure if it is an act of war or not. I would need to know alot more about it. Do you have any more information you can give us on it?

Acts like this are a real terror. This is the next generation terrorism. I hate the people committing such a crime.

I really can't understand the association of the words "Hacked" and "War".

I see this under Internet so I would believe in the hacking and I might even believe it was done "from" China. But hacking is associated with breaking an entrance, steeling or piracy (although it is a bit hard to squeeze a ship through a phone line).

What most people don't come across is that China is the country most targeted by hackers. They aren't targeted as a final target though, but their exponential growth is making it possible for hackers to use China as a way to camouflage their attacks. This was stated in an article relating hacking events on an European country (Slovenia I believe).

Knowing this, would you be sure the attacks were made by Chinese? What if it was an hacker using China to hide his/her actions? Now imagine it could be a US citizen doing the hacking.

Internet is full of surprises isn't it?

I also saw some news on this. it was on drudge a few days ago. I think they were taking about the massive outage in ohio and kentuck all the way to philadelphia and new york that happened back in 04 or 05. then you had the rolling brownouts out west a few years ago. personaally I just don't think the chinese are that smart.
