Activites for children who stay at home

I just recently started staying home with my 2 kids, and we are havening a lot of fun! However we did all come from full time daycare where we were constantly learning and teaching. And at home weve been so lazy, it been great, but I push them too, we have lots of outside time, and I love art projects, and Im a cook, so we are always baking and making stuff. But I wonder what everyone else does at home, because sometimes I dont know what to do next, and I dont have any ideas.

You can really turn just about anything into a learning experience. How in depth depends on the ages of the kids. You can talk about gravity at the water park. Health by remembering the suntan lotion and explaining how a little sun is good for you but alot can make you sick.
Sorting coins to take to the bank can be early math.
Also start early with the home economics stuff like cleaning and picking up after themselves. Explain how it prevents germs and also the toys from getting broken and safety so they don't trip on stuff and have to go to the doctor for stitches and such.
I was a preschool teacher for 14 years and loved to find the learning in everything.
Although, sometimes you need to just do stuff for fun and leave the learning out of it so they don't get burned out and tune you out.

Totally. My stepson was in my preschool class and was an angel(sort of) and at home he just wasn't into learning a thing. Maybe you need a set time during the day when you are going to learn or explore something?

yes thats how it seems to be. he loved circle time at school, but when I try to sing he never does! but we do a lot of exploring outside and stuff. you are my hero for finally resolving my question!
