My grandson's first rodeo...  email this discussion to a friend?

Life does indeed have it's little firsts.
My first was being the primary care giver to my grandson. I have had an apple outta the bag that women toil away with every single day. And I have only one small charge to care for. My wife shares obviously, but she has her little shop she has to open up 6 days a week too.
Today we drove four hours to visit our oldest son and were invited to rodeo when we got there.
Which rodeo? The KISPIOX Rodeo. They call it the biggest little rodeo in northern BC.
Hmmm. Might be. So we thought, Jason will like this. And did he ever. For about the first 10 minutes. He just had the most fun running about playing with another couple little boys who were as equally disinterested with the whole affair.glarePerhaps someday it will be interesting to him. For me? It's right up there with a trip to the dentist or crucifixion for a golly gee rip roaring fun time. Mind you, I'm that way with all sports. And I am easily annoyed by traditional pagentry. I don't care about clubs, rodeo queens and princesses. I endure 50/50 tickets... Yeah I'm a poop.yawn
I go to rodeos for three things.
Bucking saddle Broncs, Bucking Broncos and bull riding.
The little britches riding those dreadfully rough sheep are cute I must admit. Nothing like gearing up your 3 or 4 year old and letting a frightened sheep toss them onto the sand.lol

Sounds like my son at his first rodeo. The Mutton Busting is hilarious. Our friends son won last time. He held on for dear life. The little cowgirls were pretty tough too.

I once saw one of those dumb little little animals run straight onto a wall while holding on was a little girl. The lamb hit the wall with its head so no harm done there. But the little girl was wearing a hockey helmet so she was only shaken up and cried some. Most onlookers were horrified watching it happen though.

Never seen that. Seen a calf get it's neck broke during calf roping. Ever since I don't much like watching that one. They tried to cover it up but it was pretty obvious.
