| LCD HD-TV deal - should I be suspicious? | | | | Hi all,
I was looking at a Philips LCD TV - its full 1080p with 100hz etc etc. At one retailer (The Good Guys) it is advertised as being $2800. However, at my local Harvey Norman there is a deal with the TV where you get the TV, full home theatre stand and home theatre system. The stand alone with worth around $500. I must admit the home theatre system is fairly average, however I already have one, so that is not of a concern. Anyway, all of this, along with a wall bracket, for $2799, which is basically the same price The Good Guys are advertising for the TV alone.
Should I be suspicious of such a deal? I asked the sales assistant and he said they wanted to clear the stock (which makes me think a new model maybe taking its place). As this is a TV I have been looking at, should I jump at the deal, or be suspicious and ignore it?
Your help/opinion would be greatly appreciated.
