I used to love going shopping. Just browsing the aisles, looking at things and seeing what’s new. I could spend hours in stores just looking. When I lived in Texas, I used to love going to the malls…I’d lose all sense of time in there. Things have changed now. Now I just want to get in and get out as quickly as possible. I make a list, get what’s on it and unless something just jumps right out at me I don’t get anything that isn’t on my list. I’ve gotten so bad that when it comes to birthdays and Christmas, I just hurry through or try to decide what to get before I go shopping. Since I don’t drive and I have an irrational fear of being abandoned at the store, when someone is waiting on me I zip through the store like I’m jet propelled…not easy for a fluffy woman LOL The only time I really take my time shopping is when my Mom and I go and we do more talking then shopping…in fact theres a lot of times that I have to backtrack to grab things we walked right by b/c we were so busy talking. In fact, going with her is about the only time I like going. Do you rush through the stores or take your time? Do you enjoy shopping time or just want to get it over with? Do you take time shopping if your with someone else and visiting with them while shopping? **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I used to like to go shopping when I still could. I always thought that is was kinda nice to be able to make joint decisions on the spot over whether or not something was needed. Of course there was the surprised looks when it came time to go through the check out line and find all of the things that accidentally fell off the shelves into the cart...

Shopping is not one of the things that I enjoy. I hate going shopping, the prices are so bad and being a bigger lady it's hard to find anything I like to wear or want. There are times I just slowly browse through the store looking. I look for sales and specials. I pick up things and save them back for birhtdays and Christmas or a special time to give a gift. When I am with someone else I do like you rush through the store and I forget a thing or two I wanted. I don't like keeping others waiting or hold them up from anything else they need or wish to do. I do not usually take a list. In the store things you need are spread from one end of the store to the other. I get tired just trying to get what I need. If I missed something it depends on how I feel if I will go back across the store to get it or not.

I use to love shopping too, but now I jus avoid it at all costs. I will get what I have to and that is it. I can't stand crowds either, so I try to go when there isn't many people.

We also used to love to wander the malls here in Houston. I can't remember now when we last went. We rarely go shopping any more unless we absolutely have to have something. Lately it is an effort just to get the groceries. I don't really enjoy shopping much any more. To go just for the sake of looking is kind of a waste of time for me cause I rarely buy any thing.

It depends on my mood and the way I feel. Also, if I need something I am excited about getting, I enjoy shopping for it.

I enjoyed shopping more when I had more money and when the economy wasn't so bad. Now I'm not crazy about it. I feel is I stay in a store, I'll be tempted to buy. If I leave, I won't have the problem. Unfortunately I work in a PetSmart so it's really, really hard not to want and buy more than I should, I see stuff for hours at a time.

I make list to otherwise I forget half what I need but I do occasionally get things not on the list. I can't take my time and browse because I have to have my dad and mom take me since I don't have a vechicle or license. My dad has always got things to get back to he says so not to dwaddle all day so I do try to get through as fast as I can and I am always worn out after shopping because I have to rush. If my dad doesn't go then I take longer and like you said I end up talking and shopping but I take the time and it is basically what I call bonding time with mom since it only happens rarely that my dad doesn't tag along and rush us. I enjoy shopping more when it is just me and mom then when dad is there. He is to high strung.and my parents are always arguing anymore. If they didn't argue they wouldn't be talking.lol

If I have my daughter with me it's more like lets get this done cause she isn't very well behaved when we're in public. I guess I just mean she is being a two year old and wants to do her own thing which leaves me with no time to look when I am chasing her around. If I am by myself then I can shop all day long. We just recently re-found this huge flea market called Trader Jacks. Its a big flea market they have on the weekends. I am so excited I haven't been there in years and I am gonna go back this weekend and get some things.

I used to enjoy shopping much more before...When me and hubby met and first moved in together (before being married), we lived next to a big mall, and would go there a few times a week, just browsing by, making a mental list of things "we needed to buy next time" you know, the stuff you never end up buying? LOL But now, when i go shopping with him, he is sooooo stressed out and is like "are you done? come on" i always, always forget something i really needed cuz he's pushing me in the behind!! And he gets me nervoussssss, i'd rather go alone! And now, with our 4 months old, we can't just decide to go shopping anymore like before, we have to plan it ahead, depending on what time he'll have his next bottle, etc. and we have to pack for the occasion as well! diapers, bottles, wipes, toys , you name it!

I do like you do anymore. I just get in, get what I need, and then get out as fast as possible. It's usually because I'm in so much pain that I can't really take the time to do the browsing I used to do....and boy do I hate that! Although, I do have to admit that when I was at the store the other day with hubby, I ran into a friend that I hadn't seen in two years. My poor husband had to wait for about 45 minutes for us to finish gabbing. LOL!

I enjoy shopping sometimes, like when I'm on vacation and there are stores that are not around here. I also like going with my daughter, and we'll browse and just look at things, then go out for lunch. If I have to get some shopping done as a chore, I try to hurry up and get it done. Yesterday I went shopping for some plants for my garden, and I took my time and had to look at all the plants before picking a few out.

Well, it depends on whether I have money or not. If I don't have money I just grab what I need and I try to get out of the stores as soon as possible. If I happen to have money it takes me the whole day.

I like shopping, don't get me wrong, I do. But I don't think I would consider shopping an art. You walk in, you browse, you find something you like, you pay, and it's yours. That's about all that's too it. Some people rush, some people don't. I usually take my time, that way I can compare prices and save some money.

I don't care for shopping so I'm in and out. And with the price of gas I try to do as much shopping on one day as possible. I get tired after a couple of hours of being on my feet so I will grab just about anything by the end of the day...lol. Because of this I prefer to shop alone so I can get what I need and get out. I can through stores like an olympic sprinter...lol.

Well I am a clearance shopper so I can spend hours in a store digging thru the racks. Me and my mom could shop for hours upon hours except for a break to eat at some point.

When my kids were little I did enjoy going grocery shopping and leave the kids at home with hubby, it was relaxing. Now I do most of my Christmas shopping online. I did enjoy going to stores with my mother also and I do miss that very much. I hate going to stores now, I get so nervous just knowing I might have to go inside a store. I do have anxiety and I hate that, panic attacks are not fun at all. When I am at my daughter's visting sometimes I will go with her to the store and I enjoy that also, she and I have fun but I wish I could enjoy it again like I used to.

Back in the days before I was required to push a pram, I used to love just spending hours looking through shops and making a wish list. Sadly, times have changed. I now have 2 kids in tow and still pushing that pram. Now, instead of a gentle stroll and look through, it is a rush to get what I need to get before the complaints of needing the toilet and being hungry start. Hence, I don't leave the house very much. Even when I do get to go out by myself, I find that I can't really enjoy it. I still rush so as to save my husbands sanity! lol. I feel guilty if I leave him at the mercy of our 4 girls for too long! lol. There are other things I can't stand about shopping now as well. The complete disregard for the fact that I am pushing a pram is one. People seem to think that they can just stand there in the middle of the path and not move. This means I either have to wait for them to finish their nattering, attempt to bypass them via the road or walk 100m over to the other side of the mall in order to get by them. Another is crowds in general. I feel so closed in now and again, people do their damdest to get in my way, almost like I'm a magnet. And finally, the screaming kids routine. My 1 year old is fine in the pram as long as I keep pushing, but should I stop, well, the whole store knows it! She will scream the place down. This makes concentrating on the shopping task near impossible!

You are too funny fluffy woman. LOL I'm a redneck girl and I hate to shop. If it ain't at Wal-Mart and easily accessible then I don't get it. I mostly just shop for groceries. Believe it or not, my husband and my youngest son are the shoppers in the house. I'll admit it's easier for me to shop if I take a friend, but only a friend. Shopping with my family causes me to spend more money that I don't have because of the pitiful faces they make when they want something. LOL

If I am shopping for clothes I love it. If I am just browsing around, I love it. But if I have to go grocery shopping I hate it. I get to the point I just don't know what to buy to cook anymore. I am sick of eating the same foods all the time. Also I think of buying groceries, a waste of money. We just eat it and poop it out, so what a waste. But I love to shop in the malls and just walk around and browse. I like to see what the new styles are. I don't like having to try on clothes in the stores, though. I prefer to take home the clothes to try them on and if they don't fit, or I don't like the way they fit, I just return them.

I enjoy shopping when I have the time and money to spend on some fun or wanted stuff. I have become a bit lazy and do a lot on the computer or locally, as I can usually search online and find things cheaper. I was never a big shopping person, in malls and stuff. I like shopping in flea markets, yard sales, and thrift shops. Not because I am broke but because I love the "hunt". I never know what I will find and it's more fun that buying new. I guess, essentially, I love to shop, but more on old and used stuff.
