Now that Pow Wow season is here, how many of you go to them?

Yes, Lt's keep United States money in the United States where it belongs. Too many companies are "outsourcing" so that our money is not even in the United States any more. This is why (or at least one of the reasons) that we are in this recession that we are in now)If we keep going the way that we are going then we will be no better off than some of the third world countries where most of the people are dirt poor.

I used to go to pow-wows when I lived in Idaho, but haven't been to one in years, also black powder events were fun also, have you ever been to one of them,you and your goods might fit in there as well? I think the USA will turn into a third world country sooner than we think! Sorry to say. There'a a good article in newsweek.com about the comming $200 a barrel comming soon it's an eye opener! Oh,Ravenladyj, you need to go to a pow wow.They are so much fun and you learn a lot at them too.

I live in western "Taxachussetts" where there are pow wow almost every weekend some where around here. You can Google in Pow wows to try and find some pow wows nearby where you live. I go on http://store.wanderingbull.com/index.html to see where the upcoming pow wows are at. At the pow wows you can buy from the craft person direct (sometimes) and maybe even see them doing their crafts. I try to bring material to put my crafts together during the slow times.

There are all ages of people that go to the pow wows that I also go to. Thee is no age group and even young ones can learn something (even if it is the different colors that the people have as regalia). Yes I do sell buy I do not ship. This is why it is best to go to the pow wows so that you can see the items and perhaps talk to the artist/crafts person that put them together.

I live in Virginia too.In the northern part.There used to be a lot of pow wows around here.Then there wasn't.My husband got sick and died.I don't even have a car now.But,I was thinking earlier about checking out about one that used to be around here a while back.

The pow wows that I attend have what is known as trade blankets. That is when it is your turn, you can put something on the blanket and then other people will put something on the blanket (if they wist). If there is something that you want, you can trade with that person or if you think that your item is worth more, you can say "sweeten the pot", if you then think that it is a good trade you will exchange items and shake hands and say "Good trade". Or you can decline and say "
No trade".It is amazing what might go on the trade blanket. Check with your pow wow to see if it is open to the public or not and any rules that they might have.

Usually we go to the state fair and search for those items. Would love to attend an official one.
