I am talking about a seed not to just grow there mind but to grow a flower or a veggie? Well today I did. We found cheap seeds since it is a bit late in planting so I bought them just to have an activity. I wanted a garden and my daughter wanted flowers so as we picked them up she was so excited. I explained to her that we are late in planting but that we will see what comes up. It was a treat actually. She got right down in the dirt with me. The first few worms I thought would end our together time but she kept right in. I let her put the seeds in and cover them right along with me. She was so tickled. For those of you that have teens you know it is hard to find things that get them involved in work. This was the best thing. She decided where she wanted the flowers and I dug the spot. We have about 5 more packets to do so tomorrow will be another day of quality time with my daughter. I look forward to things coming up and seeing the fruits of her labor. So when was the last time you planted a seed with your child?

My children like you have helped to plant the garden, with flower seeds, veggie seeds and they are now watching the seeds grow into plants.
My children each have a patch of garden that is there own to do in what they wish. They have planted some flowers and plants in there gardens. I also give them my left over plants as well.
A funny story..... a few years ago my girl/boy twins dug there pansies up and put them in there bike baskets nad took them for a ride around the garden! They replanted them and they still carried on growing!!! I think they must have enjoyed there outing!!! LOL

No I havent however my eldest did this at preschool and she bought the plants home still waiting for them to grow, we now have three plants growing and she loves looking to see how much bigger they have got and to water them. They are now big enough to be planted in the garden and we will when the rain stops. One is a climber plant though and is happily climbing my net curtain its desperatley needs re potting in the garden!
