the CMA festival kicks off here today in Nashville, Tennessee. they have certain roads downtown Nashville closed off as well today for the big event that is being held.
here is an article that i found about the CMA festival here in Nashville today.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - It's one of music's biggest gatherings of fans and bands. The CMA Music Festival kicks off Wednesday in Nashville.
Country stars like Carrie Underwood, Vince Gill, Montgomery Gentry, Sara Evans and even some Titans players will take the field. People can still get tickets to the softball game through Ticketmaster.

| |  I have heard of the CMA festival but never had the good fortune to go. Never even been to Tennessee either but would like to one day. Sounds like a lot of fun will be going on there and I hope the weather cooperates.

| |  I would love to be in Nashville around CMA time. I have only ever been in Nashville once before. It was about 4 years ago for a Rascal Flatts concert. Two friends of mone were with me. We stayed at the Hilton across the parking lot from the Sommet Center (formerly Nashville Arena And Gaylord Entertainment Center). It was the Gaylord Entertainment Center at the time.

| |  Yes I would love to see the festival and Vince Gill. He is great. I've never heard of the CMA Festival but it would be something I'd like to see in the future. Is this a yearly event? Would be fun to see if my husband's softball team would have an interest in playing softball in Memphis in the future. Maybe I'd also have the opportunity to meet you. Might be fun. There I go again, wishful thinking...lol
