Nobody is listening........
Barak Obama, if he was elected President tomorrow, can change nothing by himself. He will be only 1/3 of the power in Washington. A seemingly powerful 33.3333% or 1/3 mind you.
But American political powers are divided. They are divided equally because of the moronic powers of the British Parliamentary system.
1/3 Presidential power including a veto
1/3 Congress
1/3 Senate

In the US system, a piece of legislation can originate in any of the three levels of power. But It must pass the other two to become law.
And the the presidential veto can be over ruled if a law is passed in congress and the senate by 2/3 majority.

So Obama has his work cut out for him in changing the status quo in the way things are done there.

As for speaking of India...
India is an over populated country where people are regularly exposed to all manner of disease and where people are starving to death with food on the hoof right beside them. They are dying because they won't eat the new incarnation of Uncle Bob.
A country with more gods than you can count...corruption on every corner. More languages or dialects than you can shake a stick at.
In short, India has some severe logistical problems that stop them from enjoying anything of what the western world enjoys.
