Help! I can't get my Lexmark printer to work with my new HP Pavilon computer.  email this discussion to a friend?

I have bought a new HP Pavilon computer. With the new Vista windows. I have a new lexmark 3100 series photo printer that I already have with my old computer. I can not get my printer to work with my new computer. My new computer and the printer seems to not be compatiable. I was wondering if I have to get a HP brand printer, for this computer. If any one know how to get lexmark brand to work with HP computer, would appreciate the information.

My roommate has an HP laptop with a Lexmark printer and she often has some difficulties with it, but it does work. Perhaps you have to download a driver for it?

Thank you for responding. Do you know how or where on the net that I may download a driver for it? A free download?
