Christmas Lights  

I feel ya on the year round thing. Growing up we were like that, but now that I live on my own in a new community, they don't allow it. Oh well LIGHTS ROCK!

I leave mine up until newyears day

Normally until New Years--but..... last year we kept putting it off... and putting it off... and then we were all set to take them down and my daughter asked if we could keep them up until her birthday--I couldn't say no. So it was almost april....lol Have a great day!!

We put the up the day after Thanksgiving and then take them down on New Years Eve. My mom always said to never leave the lights up going into the new year because it will bring u bad luck that year. lol, my mom is so funny

I love this season, thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and then it is followed closely by Christmas, I put up my Christmas tree and all of the lights outside the weekend following Thanksgiving and then they are taken down sometime in January. In my family when I lived in Minnesota we would leave them out the entire winter because it was way to cold to go out there and take them all down!

I leave mine up until January 2nd. I think it's tacky to leave them up all year long, not to mention our Homeowners Association has rules about how long you can leave any seasonal decorations up.

Hey, if it's your house and your lights, and you want to leave your lights up year around, go for it. What difference does it make if someone else doesn't like it? Putting up lights is a lot of work, sometimes in really bad weather. If this is easier for you, do it.

We always leave ours up until at least January 6. That was my Mom's birthday, and she always loved the lights and decorations so much. Many of our neighbors are out there taking down all decorations the day after Christmas. Others wait until New Year's Day.

I usually put my lights up a few days before Thanks giving and take them day about a week after new years. I love the lights. it is so festive.
