Hello my friend bhubaneshwars Ji,
This phenomena is universally common every place. I remember, when i was in Miami area (USA), one day I recieved a call from New-Jersy from one of collegue of my DIL, that She was leaving her office. I just asked that Lady, what my DIL would do and as She is at leasy 6 hrs Flt away from her. When I passed this message to my DIl, She explained that, after two hrs, She would call her collegue at new-Jesy, if she had reached safely to her appartment, if not inform Police at New jersy. So that is developed Nation. Our has to be still developed. These are common problems faced by all women all over the world. have a nice time.

Not very common in our Country bhubaneshwars, Maybe because we have a lots of women this time who are gasoline girl, security guard,police,and all stuff which usually for men only before. So, it's not anymore new to our people. If I will find someone teasing my family for any reason, I will not pass it out, I will be confronting this person and give what he deserves...LOL!

These street romeos are everywhere, my friend. It doesn't really bother me but I would literally flatten anyone who does this to my daughter. I've told her all about them and to let me know if anyone tries it with her no matter what they say.

Nothing like that! We have men that like to hit on woman but they normally are found in bars and the woman are looking for that sort of attention!

Oh well, we have to face it. We live in a misogynistic society. Brides are still being burnt and tortured in remote places of India and women are still being killed on grounds that they are witches. So? A little bit of eve teasing is more merciful compared to above-mentioned horrors. Many men still feel they are doing a woman a favor by marrying her. Sharing household chores in unheard of. And several teenage boys think it is a virtue to "hate girls." I have heard more boys complaining of girls in my life than girls complaining about boys.

And eve teasing? Until the girls in our country give up thinking that marriage is their salvation, they have to put up with a lot of nonsense from men.. like keeping quiet when they raped for fear that no one will marry them later.. or something milder like serving "patidev" hand and foot when he is strong enough and fit enough to do a little work himself.

Street Romeos or say Eve teasers, I think are shameless creatures in our society! If we analyse them Psychologically, they are particular type of saddists! They carry inferior minds also with more or less immoral thoughts. Regards for women is quite a meaningless term for them. Don't know, how they manage their habits in their own family!
Here at my place, occassional incidents also have come to my notice and few of them has turned to quarrels! I hope, there should be some papers on moral chapters in our higher education system to reduce this problems from society! Thanks for this sensitive discussion!
