Have you ever said I love you to your dad?  |

 We, in the family, are not expressive with each other feelings, so saying I love you had never been uttered by my mouth to any member of the family. I have said it but through text. However, does it really matter? I always believe that actions speak louder than voice so I just do it with actions by showing them the respect they deserved and by obeying to their commands. Now, that it's father day, I had texted my dad. I may not be able to really utter it from my mouth in front of him, but, I know he feels my love for him. How about you, have you ever said I love you to your dad? Or to any members of your family?

I make sure every member of my family hears "I love you" whenever we talk.

As we grew up, we have inherited this character of my father. If there's one thing that I really would like to do is to say the words "I love you" to my father when he can still hear it. I'm just looking for the right time and hopefully when he came back once again here to visit us, I could finally do this.

But now that I am married and I have my own family already. We never forget to say I love you to each other every day.

I used to go to my father's house and spend the holiday with him and his siblings but I can't remember being close to him and would have a moment that I would have the chance or have a situation wherein I would say "I love you" to him. I never been to close to a man except one particular lover for 2 years. After that its just a short time relationships. I don't have any feelings with my Dad. My mom didn't say anything bad about my dad, its just that we are not close. He has passed away many many years ago so when my maturity was developed I had no chance to talk o him about life and anything. Take care=)

But I don't think it bothers him, because he does know how much I love him and care for him. My husband's father says it everytime they get off the phone, and he (hubby) actually gets annoyed by it. As long as he knows, I think that's what matters.
