Halo-halo anyone?  

Are you on a diet? or its just your dessert? I'm a filipino too who love halo-halo even in wet season. hehehe

I love halo-halo too! Specially those who had lots of ice, milk, macapuno, leche flan and ube. yummy!

Yes it is one famous food here in the Philippines and I too was a fan of it when I was young. It is specially popular in times where our climate is quite hot and humid. Eating halo-halo is one thing that you would love to eat. But these days I noticed that whenever I eat this I just suddenly become runny nose. I guess I am not into it anymore except for some special occasions. But during my younger years I was one of those that loved this dish.

OOhhh I miss eating that! I think the last time I had that was last year. I really dont like all of the halo-halo blends. For some reason I know that ChowKing halo-halo is one of the ebst there is but it doesnt work for me becuase I dotn eat most of the igredients there. Im fond of the street side halo-halo though which is mostly made up of ice, milk, sago(jelly), sugar, and either ripe mangoes or ube(purple yam). When the vendor is feeling generous he would sometimes put in there a small cube of leche flan..Yum! But Im not craving that lately. When I first read your discussion Ive actually felt a small craving for maiz con hielo!LOL Ive always associated the two together and I always think of them as one yummy set. Thansk for the reminder Ill try to hav that as my snack later this afternoon.LOL^_^

wow, this seems one hell of a meal …so many ingredients combined into a glass. What more do you need as lunch on a hot summer day! And I am sure its nutritious too, but a tad fattening. Nevertheless, a good cooling combi meal. Wish we had some form of it here in India, its very hot here too.

I love halo halo very much. In fact, it's the item that I usually order whenever I have to wait for someone in any food establishments. It's exciting to eat and could help a lot in taking away the boredom while waiting for the other party to arrive, a client in particular.
