Getting Rid Of Spiders  |

 I put this under Enjoy Life because that's what everyone can do once the little eight-legged brats are gone!
I found some good tips for making sure spiders don't like to stay in the house that I'd like to share.
Take a spray bottle and fill it 80% with water. Then add 20-30 drops of essential peppermint oil. Spray where you've seen spiders and where they enter.
Eucalyptus works to make them leave and not want to stay as well.
Remove trash/wood/brush piles from by your house.
Make sure screens are repaired and cracks are sealed. Also make sure your doors and windows seal correctly.
Vacuum all webs and egg sacks. Make sure to get behind furniture and appliances.

I had also heard of sprinkling soap flakes on the window sills.
Any other ways to get rid of spiders? Besides calling an exterminator?

 Ramoth (1047) | 1 year ago | I would imagine you'd want to use the solution whenever you couldn't smell it anymore. Even if you put your nose close to the surface.
I'm not sure how long it lasts. It depends on the surface you're spraying and the absorption level of it. | |

i am glad I finally got to it though because i had a hair raising experience last night with a spider that i will never forget
now i need to get rid of the spiders

My last one was a wolf spider near the bathroom door, and another on the wall near my computer desk. Needless to say, I was smooshing....

3.  Hayley_N (524) | 1 year ago | What kind of spiders? For daddy long legs, I wouldn't rush to exterminate them they eat lots of small insects. Black widows can be sprayed w/an insect-spider spray, available at local hdwr. stores. Unless u have some other types don't be too concerned, they won't bother you unless they are disturbed. You probably couldn't get too close to a b/widow anyway. Don' be crawling in dark places where they might be located. | |
