being a daughter

My mom and I are estranged so in a way I did lose her in the sense that I never had her to begin with. If she died today I think it would make me happy. Before anyone gets upset about this me saying this, my mom has narcissist personality disorder.

I lost my mother 2 years ago. It wasn't easy. I think I am still coping with the loss. I had to make the decision to put her in Hospice which really didn't help. I still feel so guilty. I believe in God and sometimes feel like I should have held out for some miracle. But, her cognitive abilities were severly demenished so it was difficult to see her in that state. I'm sure she wouldn't have wanted to go on like that. The good news is that I have a life and though I think about her all the time. I can smile remembering the good times now instead of cry. It'll be tough. But at some point, you'll be able to realize that she is in a place where there is no pain and there's only peace for her. Just hold the faith that one day you two will see each other again. I'd like to think that my mother is watching over me.

It's wonderful that you have such a strong relationship with your mom. That means no regrets when she does pass. How old are u? I have a 17 year old daughter and she and I are great friends too. I'd hate to think that she's worried about me passing so for now, don't stress yourself worrying about your mom passing. Okay?

I think that would be the hardest thing you'll have to go through. Your lucky that you and your mom are close like that. I didn't have that. I'm close with my father and I feel the same way as you do with your mom. Just spend as much time with her as you can.

for me i don't want to think that, since i am really closed to my mother.i don't know how to cope loosing my mother.she's the only one i am having right now because my father passed away 5years ago.all i know right now is to show her that i really love her and she is important to me.
