When will Responsibility EVER be taken?

I appreciate what you are saying here, I do; but both my children were in the "normal" range until they had the MMR's I even went to my doctors office for more vaccines and they point blank said "we ordered the wrong shots".

I know with generations of food additives and toxins to the system that has come to say that this is the reason too. Honestly, the more I pump my children full of anti-oxident foods the more respondent they are, but in recent year more and more cases have come up AFTER the vaccines. I think there is a part to play here. I stand firm on that because I saw it in my own childern.

The thing is, is that you can reverse it with hands on daily enforcement. I've see a tremendous difference the years I took off from work and worked with them daily, hands on. Maybe it's just me and pushing them. No, I don't think they are "normal" and ignoring their needs, but I think that by finding avenues that work for them in communication, that - that right there - that's the key to opening a door for them to enter the world.

I just want to see more programs or compansation for parents in either having to be a sole provider for their commuication needs or at least being able to have "qualified" person to help them communicate better.

I've filed for SSI to cover expenses, even applied for other services. I don't even qualify for Respit to give me a break. I have to pay for their care out of my pocket. Going rate for a qualified care giver is $12 per hour per child. Now, how can I afford to work for that? No, I switched my hours around, have a babysitter during the day and work most nights unless they're off at the park that day.

It's draining, completely draining. Both emotionally and financially.

I think we could get into a whole nother conversation about other meds on the market and side effects. I get tired of "here, have a pill and it will fix everything". Yes, I have also thought that vaccines were a large part of ADHD too.

I know a mother that signed a form to exempt her children from vaccines. I also know that is the reason for more parents homeschooling becuase of state requirements in vaccines for children who attend public schools.

Angel, with all the power that drug companies have, I doubt that anything will really be found. I am hopefull. I see these mass lawsuits advertised, "If you took this drug and had these side effects, blah, blah, you could be entitled". As much as I don't like these kinds of lawsuits, I do hope this is ground breaking for going after companies that put meds on the market with little to no complete research on long term side effects.

I do believe there is genes that come into play; however, if the vacines interact with various types of dormat genes then it's still activated by them. In all honesty, I think there sould be profiling before vaccines are given. Family history can tell a lot with out the body reacts to things.

If vaccines are not given at such a young age, and there was time for profiling, even allergy testing before the vaccines are given, I think this could catch a lot of austism cases from popping up later.

I don't know how I feel about stem cell research. I haven't read enough to really know what the real issue is with that so I can't respond.

I do know how much you love those kids. Just like any of us, when something is wrong with them, we want to take it ourselves and would if we could. We also want to get to the bottom of these things. I can read your frustrations in type and the emotion that comes with it.
I wish there was some medical answer that I could give you from what I have learned but there just isn't. I can say the reason for vaccines so young is that the immune system of a baby just can't handle the outside world. I know that anyone- whether or not your child is autistic (and got it from the vaccines if that is the case) would rather have their child with them, than dead from a disease we vaccinate against.
As far as stem cell goes, there is an issue in the pro life community with using fetal tissue because that egg is killed in the process. For stem cell, they can also use fetal tissue from an aborted fetus or eggs that will be destroyed anyway after invitro if not needed. The argument is that adult tissue can be used for the research because we already use it for bone marrow transplants, etc. The problem with that tissue is that the cells are polluted and it can only be used to test the part of the body that it came from. Fetal tissue is multi layered and can be used to test any part of the body. It is a whole human in one tiny egg or one tiny piece of fetal tissue. We can learn alot about disease through it but it is taboo in the states and the government won't fund it. It can only be funded privately but the money will eventually stop and research will halt. There's my breakdown for you.:)If you look in my earlier discussions, I did a good one on this with some info that I was researching for a paper at school.

I knew with my daughter, but my son was developing on the normal scale and then - nothing - he no longer talked, eye contact was gone, he just wasn't there anymore. I have to say that is the reason that he was diagnoised so early.

When people rave over their child doing something out of the ordinary such as speaking early or being extraordinarily strong the autistic mom in me can't help wonder if the child is showing signs. My daughter did somersaults in the cradle when most babies can barely lift their heads and spoke at the age of six months. Then she shut up and it was years before she did more than the quietest whisper. She has an amazing memory to this day and remembers her sister wheeling her about in a stroller.

I can see that. I've had four children and they were all very, very different. My first daughter I couldn't keep back, she was talking and talking at 10 months. Pottie trained early, she's a go getter yet today. My oldest boy was a bit slow in coming around, but he had some difficulty at birth. The youngest two are like night and day. Where he showed normal development, she never did. She never spoke until I taught her sign language. My youngest two are the ones with autism.

Would I explain the existance of autism before the 1700? I've honestly never seen documentation that proved that it existed back then. When my children were diagnoised there wasn't much for information out there for us as parents.

I was born in 1980 in England - got the ordinary seperate vacinations (before the combined MMR came in. Can't find any referances to Mercury/thrimersol being used n the uk pre 88 ) but I'm still on the autistic spectrum.
- do have mercury fillings but was visible autistic long before I had them done (just took decades for anyone to give enough of a toss to offical notice)

re the autism vacination theories I've read that the UK and US anti-vacination groups can't get their storys straight - one belives it's the combined mmr jab that's "making their overwise perfect children" "have their souls stolen by the evil autism" the other that it's the mercury/thimsol.

Bala, the very sad part is drug companies can product just about anything, not properly test it and put it on the market. There was a woman's vaccine that came out last summer and woman died from it Bala.

It was completely hands on for 3 years, but now that they are older they are very independant. There are still moments of frustration, but they are just like anyother child out there, they just need alittle more help when it comes to communication.

What I wouldn't want to do then because of what I know now! Now I understand that vaccines can hamper the natural occurance of how the nerons die off in the brain to create connections in thinking. Delaying the vaccines until the body can better adjust to them makes a lot of sense to me now.

I do know that out side chemicals, food additives and genes have a lot to do with autism; however, if a child were older and their bodies would adjust to those vaccines sometimes, I believe that would make all the difference.

Several studies and people believe that vaccines have nothing to do with it; however, I went to my doctors office and they said they need to reschedule vaccines for my children. When I asked why, the doctor come back in and said point blank "The wrong shots were ordered." This tells me that the harmful vaccines are still out there.

Poeple can tell me whatever they want, but it's still boils down my children could have had a different chance in life had the vaccines been delayed.

The friend that I spoke of, out of the US, during continuous study she firmly believes that it affects the brain as well. Her own children's reaction set her on that road. I still say, no matter what, it's much too much to inject in such a tiny body. But then the is not as much care for the children anymore. Shameful.

I agree with that too. I think they load these babies up because they are supposed to get the natural immunities from the mom during nursing; however, not everyone nurses. I did and still my children were effected, but here was a change in the formula too.

Oh yea, the formulas. Have you heard about the concerns with soy? Soy has phytoestrogens and in large quantities....well...the concerns are whether they are affecting our children adversely. Girls starting their periods at 9, etc. It's kinda scary.

No I had not heard of that! I was a soy milk drinker but cut it out because of expense. I think the world of ready made foods is killing us. Next year I'm doing my own garden again.

I used to make my own tomatoe soup, spag sauce and ketchup. Honest to God, we hardly purchased anything outside of raw materials - sugar, flour, yeast, etc.

I get our meat fresh from our pasture (we raise our own cows) and just got a hog ordered from a local farmer. I know when my butcher processed the meat - no additives are added unless we have a ham cured - I don't even get our bacon cured.

I firmly believe that chemicals, additives and chemicals on our fields and in our livestock's feed is leading to the break down in our bodies natural immunities.

I agree! Look at these when you get a chance, it's not that soy is bad, in and of itself, but it's large quantities that can be bad. Ever heard "Everything in moderation". Well they are putting soy in so much that it's becoming TOO much.

I believe, in the UK they have removed soy formulas from the shelves. I also believe that HFCS High Fructose Corn Syrup is one of the other things in over abundance in processed foods that is killing us.

Do y'all have acreage? We are thinking of doing our own cattle too, and are looking into some smaller breeds because we only have 9 acres.
