Yes, just the sound of cheesecake make my mouth water. I love all kinds of cheesecakes. I've never actually made one myself besides the ones from Betty Crocker that you make in the box. I would love to learn how to make one from scratch. I heard in one state they have a cheesecake store/bakery where you can go and eat all kinds of cheesecake. Boy would I love to visit that place one day. Is there anyone who can make one from scratch? If so how do you do it? Making anything from scratch sounds delicious and tastes so much better than making it from a box. Any recipes on cheesecakes? Any bakers?

I love cheesecake and no you have made my mouth water. I like them ready made, also the ones which you make up from out of the box. But the best which I have ever tasted was the one which my daughter made during her cookery lesson at school. Just as soon as I can I will ask her to find the recipe and make another one for the family. I will post the recipe on mylot for you, so keep checking.

There are a lot of really great recipes for cheesecakes that you can find online and believe me as long as you have the springform pan it is actually a lot easier than I thought it would be! I have made plain ones, turple ones and also orea ones and cherry!

The place you were talking about is The Cheesecase Factory I think. It is a regular restaraunt with really good food and they specialize in cheesecake for dessert. They are so good!

MMM I love cheesecake and I have recently always started to make my own at home.
Like someone else said, if you are making a full sized cheesecake you need a springform pan. But if you are making mini cheesecakes all your are going to need is a muffin tin and muffin tin liners (cupcake holders)

I Have made it both in springform pan and in muffin cups (regular sized!)

I don't know if I like blueberry cheesecake cause I never had it. I had strawberry, plain, chocolate swirl, cherry and caramel macchiato.

They are all good. It truly isn't hard to make. Good luck!

cheesecake is most likely my all time favorite dessert. i love all kinds and had some last night at olive garden. it was raspberry cheesecake drizzled with raspberry sauce and topped with a vanilla cream that was to die for. do not even want to know the calorie count in that. i love pumpkin cheesecake too. it is delicious. i did i forget to mention that the cheesecake i had last night also had a layer of dark chocolate on the bottom? it was so good. tgi fridays has a vanilla cheesecake that is out of this world. my mouth is watering right now!

Hello,

I am a huge cheesecake lover myself and have made mini ones and a pumpkin one . That was a mix of the cream cheese and a pumpking type pudding.There is this company called philadelphia and they have the mix already made up and all you have to do is pour the mix into a cracker crust ( you can find at most shopping stores)

My favorite kind of cheesecake is New York style because I like the thicker kind . There is this place called tgif's that I used to eat at and they had this wonderful vanilla bean cheesecake . It was so rich and sweet . When I was in New York city they sale it everywhere .

I have one I want to share with you:
A simple New York Style one for cook.com

2 1/2 lb. cream cheese
1/2 lb. sugar
1/2 lb. sour cream
1/2 oz. vanilla
1/2 oz. lemon juice
5 eggs
20 graham crackers, crushed
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 stick butter

Mix graham cracker crumbs, 1/2 cup sugar and butter.
Mix well softened cheese and 1/2 pound sugar until smooth. Add sour cream, then eggs, then flavorings until mixture is very liquid and thoroughly mixed.

Preheat oven to 350
Coat a 10 inch spring-form pan well with butter. Line base with graham cracker crumb mixture. Pour batter evenly over base until just under lid of the pan. Leave enough room for the mix to rise without flowing over.

Bake the cake in a pan of water (place the spring-form pan in a roasting pan with about 1/2 inch of water - do not let the pan run out of water during the baking process) at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. The cake will rise. Watch for cracking at the top and browning.

Here is one of my favorite when I go out to eat and I actually wanna try this someday.

Clone of TGI Fridays Vanilla Bean Cheesecake

Vanilla graham cracker crust, vanilla bean cheesecake, white chocolate mousse, vanilla bean whipped cream.

CRUST:
1 1/2 cups finely crushed graham crackers (Maybe add some flour???)
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 egg yolk, beaten
1/4 teaspoon vanilla

Crush the graham crackers. Mix in the sugar. Add the egg yolk and vanilla, then stir in the melted butter. Line a springform pan with non-stick foil. Press graham crackers into the pan. Bake at 375º for 8 minutes or until edges are slightly brown. Remove and let cool.

CHEESECAKE:
16 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
2 Tablespoons corn starch
1 cup sugar
2 Tablespoons butter, softened
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
vanilla beans from one pod

Combine cream cheese, sour cream, corn starch and sugar, mix until sugar is dissolved. Add butter, vanilla and beans, blend until smooth. Don’t overmix.

Bake at 350F 30 to 35 minutes. Cool 1 hour.

WHITE CHOCOLATE MOUSSE
1 cup whipping cream
2 Tablespoons powdered sugar
4 ounces 1/3 less fat cream cheese, softened
4 ounces white chocolate baking squares, melted

In a cold mixing bowl beat cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Put this in a bowl in the fridge. Don’t wash your mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese in it, until fluffy. Add the white chocolate and beat until smooth. Fold in the whipped cream.

VANILLA BEAN WHIPPED CREAM

1 cup whipping cream
1 Tablespoon powdered sugar
Beans from one vanilla pod

In cold mixing bowl, beat whipping cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add powdered sugar and then vanilla beans, beating until stiff peaks form.

After the cheesecake has cooled spread the mousse evenly on top. Refrigerate for about an hour then spread the whipped cream on top. Refrigerate several hours before serving.
