Boxing: Pacquiao the first Filipino and asian to win 4 belts in 4 divisions, |
|
Yeah hes the first asian and hes a Filipino.... he knockout diaz in 9th round Manny Pacquiao made a statement with his fists on Saturday, battering David Diaz to claim the WBC lightweight title at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. But he also made a statement that could have larger implications for the sport and the safety of boxers. Pacquiao could have made the super featherweight limit of 130 pounds again on Saturday if he had been forced to do so. But he listened to his body, moved up to a more sensible weight and put on arguably the best performance of his life. It was no contest from the bout’s opening punch. Pacquiao was too quick and too strong and battered Diaz into submission before stopping him at 2:24 of the ninth with a crunching straight left hand. Diaz crumbled face forward and lay at Pacquiao’s feet, a symbolic final scene of Pacquiao’s ultimate conquest. Pacquiao is considered a hero cause of determination and sacrifices he makes and makes Philippines one united country.. Mabuhay!......

2. bestre (1460) | 3 months ago | Yeah he deserved it. We all are proud of him. I believe that makes him a million dollar richer. Pacquiao has a different style in boxing and that's what makes him different with other players. He does have a different technique which makes him even fast and stronger. I cant wait, what he's plan for his next fight.

3. rsa101 (3685) | 3 months ago | I think this days is a day we should all be happy about Manny Pacquiao. That is something that we should all be proud. His fight was indeed one big fight. His opponent even accepted that Pacquiao has an edge even at the start of the game. I think this game is really much better than the previous game he had where it was very close fight and he almost lost the game. His opponent even questioned the judges about the fight. But this time its not questionable anymore as he did knock him out on the ninth round. Pretty amazing thing to watch.

9. shadjee1 (335) | 3 months ago | I was really in shock when I watched Pacman played. I didn't expect him to win since I thought Diaz is bigger and look stronger. But after watching him, he is quick and has strong punches. Way to go Pacman!!!
