Good camera - low budget...any advice?  email this discussion to a friend?

I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on what type of camera I can get on a low budget, but one that is still good quality.

I love photography but unfortunately am limited to a disposable camera, which is awful!

I would love to get a really good quality, professional digital camera, but have very little money! I have no idea of what kind of prices are realistic, but something under £150 would be good, I can save up for that! :D

Please help me, if you can!

Thanks :)

I think most of the digital cameras are good, I was given a really good professional camera by a friend and another friend had a camera that was a small camera of reasonable price and his pics turned out better than mine...I think the main thing to do is write down what features you want and price range and either look for specials in the shops or on the internet or best to go to a camera shop with your list and get help there...

Thankyou :)

I'll definitely consider it for a while before I get one! :)

I bought my wife a Sony video camera for Christmas that's about that price. It's quite good, records directly to DVD and you can extract either video or stills.

That sounds good!

Would be a bonus to have video as well :)

Cos my boyfriend does have a digital video camera but you can't take stills with it :(

Thanks for your help :)
