do you clean your dogs teeth  

I tried once, my dog ate the toothbrush. So now I just toss the pooches a Dentabone and that works o.k.

Dogs teeth really should be brushed. Maybe not as often as humans do, but it's still important. We have three dogs and we try to get their teeth brushed a couple of times each month. Actually I have no clue how many times they need to to brushed. I guess I have to go look that up.

I have never brushed any of my dogs teeth and just make sure they have bones and biscuits to clean them. It does sound very cute that your dog lines up with your children, waiting for his turn.

I have never brushed any of my dogs' teeth. Somehow that doesn't sit right with me. All my dogs have lived to a very old age and none has ever had teeth trouble. I have always put that down to the fact they have never been fed any tinned slosh, and have a big raw bone once per week.

I brush my girl's teeth once a week, and she only gets dry food for meals. She also gets crunchy treats and has dental chews. I scale her teeth once or twice a month, if they need it, and regularly check things out.

Teeth are important on anyone, but it's even more expensive, in some cases, to get your dogs teeth taken care of if problems arise!

Bravo for you! I know your dog loves you for it! I haven't ever brushed my dogs' teeth, but I know I should.

My neighbour is a vet, and he laughed when I told him people were actually brushing dogs' teeth! He asked how the dogs would have managed in the wild? He also said if dogs are fed properly (NOT human's scraps!) and are given a good, raw bone regularly, there should be absolutely no need for human intervention. It would only be necessary if the dogs were being given a lot of cooked food or tinned food, and weren't given the opportunity to use their teeth properly.
