4.  Bd200789 (1969) | 1 year ago |  I have only read Pride and Prejudice. I really enjoyed it, and got some of her other books, but I never could get interested in them. It is weird, because Pride and Prejudice is one of my favorite books.

| 6. deem1977 (230) | 1 year ago | I love Jane Austen and have read all of her books. I first read Pride and Prejudice many years ago when I was in high school. I fell in love with it immediately and have loved it ever since. I really like the Elizabeth Bennett character. However, now that I am more mature by about 35 years, I must admit that I find a lot of appreciation for Persuasion and the main character in that book. She is several years older than the Elizabeth Bennett character and has more life experience. I don't know whether I would have appreciated Persuasion as much if I had started my Jane Austen experience with that book,however. I really think that Pride and Prejudice is the one to start out with. | |
